Colosseum is actually the only lego set I've ever bought that i REGRET buying. The most repetitive build in the history of lego. Sure it looks great when it's finished, but it's 9000 pieces of building the same thing over and over again. Trust me you're not missing out on anything.

@coconut8192 I disagree. I own the new Eiffel Tower, and believe me when I say that is a FAR more repetitive build, by far. But it's the final product you focus on, and they both look spectacular. So yes, I still regret not getting it.

When i saw the hype for it end of last year it was still in stock over here but decided to NOT pick it up since having no minifigs and being the most boring build ever there would be quite a risk in me getting it because I didn't want to build it (would be a pure investment). Therefore no regrets over here.

It is such a good set. Sad that you missed out on it. I had £50 on my VIP points and purchased the YELLOW Submarine and the Dr Who set as they were both on store shelves during this time. £50 of my own money on those two sets was a great steal. I have no interest in selling them though.

Awe. When pirate sets started making the scene when I was a teen in the 90's I missed out on a bunch. All because I was more into space stuff and sidetracked myself with pirate stuff. I did have a time travelling sail ship filled with futuristic equipment. Then I started colkegs and gave my whole apple box full of Lego away. Only let death or a lucrative sale separate you from your bricks, yo! Even if you just store them while pursuing career and family, you're going to find interest in them again!

I’m back into LEGO since 2019 and so far I got all the sets I really wanted, some even from the secondary market, like the Ninjago city and Apocalypseburg you mentioned, but also the imperial flagship and Silent Mary. The only regret I can think about now is not having bought a second copy of Pirates of Barracuday Bay, I have the set and displayed in the island form, but this was such an maxing experience for me to build. I would love to have kept a second copy for me to maybe open in 10 years from now and build it all again, then also convert it to ship form.

I have over 200 Lego sets but pirates of barracuda is just one of the best building experiences. And I also have the Ninjago city sets (2 bought 2nd hand which were already build) I just need to disassemble them and build them from start to see if they are better to build then Pirates….

The Old Fishing Store is probably one of my top 3 favourite all time LEGO sets and the set that got me back into the hobby. You can see it behind me. I think I lot of people regret not getting this one. If you ever get the chance you should buy it, you won’t regret it.

@@ss90kim Lego had a 20% off voucher, taking this to £240. Then they also gave double VIP so another 10% so down to £216. Then Quidco had a bonus deal paying £17 and normal cashback of £4.50. These have both paid out. So cost is £194.5. However I also got Majisto GWP and Christmas market GWP, so just an amazing deal.

You can go on the lego site, lookup a set and then order all the pieces. However it works out slightly more expensive and you don't get printed instructions or stickers. You can however swap brick colours and build the same set in a different colour.

This will age me here. But for me the regrets include not saving my allowance for a couple months and getting the futuron monorail. Biggest mistake of my life however was giving my entire childhood Lego collection away in 1995 after starting culinary school. I've made many mistakes, worse mistakes too, but this is one I think of every week or so. Truth is inflation would make one of these over $400 these days and you can find old ones near that price, but ( whiny face) it's not the same! It's like eating grocery store brand ice cream while the ice cream man circles your block! Dingle dingle ding!

If it’s any consolation I think a lot of people have probably made the mistake of giving away their childhood Lego. I had the Monorail Transport Base when I was younger. I made a video recently about putting it back together

The Corner Garage is one I missed out on, but I've since managed to buy one online for quite a bit more than it originally cost. I've found stores discount lego when it's end of life, then a year later it's worth more than it originally costs. I bought the Technic Porsche 911 RSR for £65 and it's now seemingly selling for twice that price.

Same with me for Apocalypseburg. I saw it for $200 at Costco briefly and said I'll grab it later. Totally regret it now. That is true, about space. I'm lucky to have a decent amount of UCS but it's the shelf space. It might turn out I gotta' sell some, cause they'll just sit in the box with no way to display them. One of them is the Mandalorian Forge. I really wanted the Armorer and Visla figures. Luckily Paz Visla is coming in a set this summer. But I had to spend a lot to buy the Armorer. Almost all the others, isn’t really “regret not buying it” but rather “not have money to buy it yet” since I was smaller and wasn’t able to work yet for some serious money to spend on all the sets I wanted back in the day. A lot of the time if I don’t want the set / have space for it I just buy the minifigures separately on bricklink. I did that with the Madalorian Forge set which worked out quite well. Thanks for watching ❤️

Heres a thought , why not just find someone whom is willing to sell a copy of the constuction booklet for the brick bank , maybe this person may just give said booklet to you , then you need only visit lego direct and purchase the parts , just a thought

Parting out is definitely the way to go, or I may just buy the whole set secondhand on eBay. I think all sets instructions are available to download from the Lego website, although having a physical copy is always better

I also have a couple regrets about not buying some Lego sets: - any Lego set from the LOTR and Hobbit wave from 10 years ago (unfortunately 10 years ago I barely knew the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit film trilogies existed), there are some great sets, especially Orthanc, the mini figures were stunning, I’m not saying the new minifigs from last year’s Rivendell and Barad-dûr are bad, just saying they really don’t look like the characters/actors we see in the films, the old minifigures were superb and mega accurate to the characters/actors we saw in the films - Lego Phantom II, mostly because of the Thrawn minifigure, since I’m a huge fan of both legends and canon Thrawn books, he’s my favourite character from Star Wars, and now the minifigure goes for astronomical prices, since I heard we are getting a new set with Thrawn this year in September, I’m gonna get it

Yea the Old Lord of the Rings sets are mine but like you I was not yet into collecting Lego. I had a gap where I was playing with Lego as a child and now an adult buying for display. LotR was part of the gap. Luckily they're making new sets because of the Rings of Power, and they are beautiful displays.

Betrayal of cloud city is one of these sets hyped right now because of the minifigs and overall value but the design itself is not that great being like a bare interior without any externals. It looks a bit weird. I feel similar sets would not get a lot of attention for these reasons if still on sale.

This is the one set I still regret not getting it back in the days...and pirate theme is arguably my favorite theme. But at the time I viewed lego's original pirate and Pirates of the Carribean set as a different theme. I kind of regret every modular set I didn't buy because they're all great. I got 9 of the 19 that were released in total, but I never had the money to buy them all. I was in doubt about the Corner Garage (10264) but finaly decided not to buy it. Same with the Downtown Diner (10260). Now I wish I had. I also agree that the Brick Bank is a nice set, I can put that on my regret list as well.
