Hey Dohyun it’s been incredible to see your growth as a person and entrepreneur! I’m a junior engineer who wants to get into building SaaS products but my coding skills are just not there. I’d love to see a video where you deep dive into the technical details of your apps, how you learnt skills/languages/frameworks etc. How much you focus on code quality etc It’s hard for me to think I can build a SaaS product when the best thing I can do is a noob weather app

Nice work! I'm a developer looking for a cofounder that can do marketing but they're not easy to find. It's almost worth reaching out to random social accounts with many followers (in a specific niche) because that's often what's needed these days.

Congrats. It's not really surprising that you achieved the $1,000 MRR mark quickly with Montee, it's a good quality app. Could you please share tips on how to build a SaaS while working full time? I live in Australia. Work-life balance is awesome here. But I still get exhausted trying to build a SaaS because, as a solo developer, I basically have to ideate, design, develop, test all by myself. Also the context-switching (from office work to personal work and vice versa) is painful. You mentioned about finding a co-founder, that'd definitely help, but I'm curious to know more about the solo-development part. Even if your co-founder is helping you in marketing, etc, you still have to develop the app.

I LOVE this video, thanks for sharing and normalizing this message. Social media skewes the reality of what success looks like, and I really appreciate it. Looking back, how are you feeling about your decision to do this while keeping a full time job? On one hand, you gotta pay the bills, but on the other, you need "skin in the game".
@YourAverageTechBro14 күн бұрын
0 regrets at all. Never have to worry about food, finances, making short term business decisions for the sake of money. I can reinvest all the money into the business without any guilt. In terms of skin in the game I think about how bored and annoyed I get at my day job and that’s enough motivation for me to keep doing this and not give up haha

This was awesome man. I have a full job, and I'm copying an accountant software, 100$ MMR so far, but I have a kid, and it was insanely difficult to find time to spend on coding. I used to wake up at 4:45 AM and work to 7AM, but the lack of sleep is torturing me. What time in the day that you work for your side hustle, and how long?

You're 100x busier than me because you have a kid so kudos to you, no way I would be able to do this if I had a kid. That being said, I do both before work and after work.

Currently in college. I am currently at a crossroads in my career and would like to have your guidance as I decide between Web Development (Full Stack) and Android Development. While Web Development seems easier (due to plenty of resources), I am concerned about the increasing saturation in that field and the potential challenges it may pose in future. On the other hand, I see that Android development is also a good alternative, especially with businesses moving towards a mobile-first approach, but I understand it can be a bit more challenging to master. Also I am unsure about the internship process. With 6 months to prepare for off campus internships, I want to make an informed decision. I would greatly appreciate any insights or advice you could share based on your experiences. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to your response!
@YourAverageTechBro8 күн бұрын
I don't think it matters which one you start with because you can always learn both in the long run (which is what I did). I will say, if I had to pick mobile app to develop for I would probably do iOS if you're based in the states. If elsewhere (e.g. India) maybe Android is the better move. Hard for me to say as I only have experience in the states.

Looking for technical (or marketing) co-founder (mainly for financing pitch reasons) - know where can I find reliable / motivated individual ? (their role would in reality be less active than the typical co-founder role since I am working on this project myself fulltime)...the APP is in the health and wellness space

Why do you not have a LLC? Idk if its like that in the us but here in switzerland you would be repsonsible with your own money if you get sued or something like that. LIke you know full liability.
@@YourAverageTechBro Could you talk more in your next video about your legal "structure"?, I have this FOMO that "if I don't have and LLC I can't even code", that would be reaaaally helpful. Btw congrats!! The copy strategy is working
