I've been taking this course for the last 6 days and I am absolutely hooked. The etudes are so fun and work on different aspects of technique, not just slap. Charles also provides insights into some of the musical choices (tone, harmony and songwriting) that each of the 10 bass masters utilize which is really inspiring. There is also a community to connect with other bass players so come say hi!

Is many notes great music, or is it the old master's there wrote music who had a perfect balance between techniques and notes. It is like nowadays all instruments, bas, guitar, drums keyboard, put out there a lot of fast lines. Everything drowning in each other. 🤔 the skills are super high today. So for me is music, perfect balance. 😊 I do alot of notes on my guitar to, 🎸 I'm starting to understand the silence often is better music, but it tok many years to understand discover that.

Victor and Marcus styles can be challenging for different reasons....Victor obviously has more speed and technicality behind his style and Marcus my not have the same level of complexity in terms of his technique compared to Victors but What sets Marcus apart from everyone else is his experience as a sideman being in nearly every musical situation as well as a solid musical foundation and imagination..he has the uncanny ability to Groove 2nd to none ...his choice of notes and staying locked in with the drummer and in perfect harmony with the melody
