Aston Martin then took the basic shape of the Stelvio AZ1 for their V8 Zagato and the front grille for their 1990 Vantage Le Mans.

The skyline Prince has a absolutely gorgeous body shame it didn't come with a 2000cc straight 6 it would have suited it so much, still a fantastic work of automotive art.

Because that's a car that most people have actually never seen before, all the ones he mentioned in the video are very known unicorns, I should have expected that that video title is not accurate.

The ZZii wasn’t electric… it had a midship RB26 in it! You can literally see it in your video when you show the two founders- and I saw this car in person at the Tokyo Auto Salon…

The Galant FTO was federalized in the USA with a semi-fastback coupe body, different grille, different taillights but with the same C-pillar roof side-window cuts on the Colt body tooling as the Dodge Colt GT in 1974-76 and then evolved into the Dodge Celeste and Plymouth Arrow fastback hatchbacks, derivatives of the Colt sedans and wagons and companions of a pair of luxury-oriented, more rounded Dodge Lancer 2-door and 4-door sedans. All used the Mitsubishi 1.6-liter in-line 4.

I can tell you that quite a few of the most desirable Japanese sports cars of this era made more power than stated. It was because the Japanese government did not want Japanese manufacturers to take part in the "power war" that was happening in the international car industry, with cars being more and more absurdly powerful and dangerous. So the government made all of the manufacturers agree to not exceed 300hp. Toyota were well in to development of their new Supra, having a car that made 600hp but with legendary Toyota reliability, but had to agree to the new rules, so they just detuned the new car to 300hp and told the government it only made 276hp. That's why you can tune a Supra to well over 600hp before changing engine internals or gearbox. A lot of us will probably know about the Gran Turismo "glitch" where you buy a Supra or Skyline rated at 276hp, go straight to your garage and the car now says 323hp. This was intentional, not a "glitch". Japanese tuning companies bought brand new cars, took them straight to a dyno, and the car made well over 300hp with out being touched. Others who didn't have access to a dyno, but instead used their trusted "butt dyno" also agreed that the cars made well over 300hp, not the 276hp that was stated.

The JZ engines were originally intended for use in Group A racing. There was never an intention of selling a 600 HP road version but they did need the engine to be able to handle increased power for Group A and Group N, because those categories were strict about what parts were considered homologated.
