Hey #BuzyBeez! This Kimbap video is meant to show a FUSION of ideas (as it states in the video title). No where did I claim this was a technically authentic Korean tutorial - there are many other great videos for that. I appreciate your feedback but wanted to clarify this issue. My intent was not to offend anyone's culture. I'm the biggest fan of Korean food!

My daughter-in-law makes it with hotdogs sliced length-wise and whatever vegetables are on hand usually cut julienne style. And black sesame seeds sprinkled on top after they are cut. This was how she introduced us to some of the foods she grew up eating.

I usually give a flavor to Korean spinach before I put into kimbab. Just put a little bit of minced garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil!! It's more delicious:)

I was wondering the difference between sushi and and kimbap but people below explained it very well and now I am in-the-know. :) Thanks for always making such quality video...your culinary creativity and enthusiasm never gets old. Yep, and not all sushi has raw fish. Sushi can have it (sashimi), but not necessarily. And, generally sushi doesn't contain proteins (i.e. chicken, beef) other than seafood and/or egg- that's what I find most different about Kimbap. Either way, both are yum!
@caroc43274 жыл бұрын
I like to try and make rolls with whatever I have on hand, that way it's easier. I made one today with leftover seaweed salad, avocado, cilantro, and one mini cucumber I found. I also sprinkled sesame seeds over the rice before adding the fillings. One roll can really fill you up!

if you wanna be "authentic" brush the rolled kimbap with some sesame oil before slicing it and wrap the sliced kimbap roll in aluminum foil, not in plastic wrap! just some tips :)
@2PMisTimeless6 жыл бұрын
I hope you do know that aluminium is dangeorus and not good for health. Don't use aluminium. Avoid it (please Google)
@vp38415 жыл бұрын
@@2PMisTimeless it might be dangerous if food is cooked in foil at high temperatures, although there's not enough research to back this up yet. Aluminum foil is safe for storing cold products. Do your research before telling people what to do.

Years late, but I'm so glad I found this. There was a cute little Korean fusion restaurant near my parents' house for a short time and I loved it, but it closed and now every time I drive by the Chinese restaurant that replaced it I'm sad. (No offense to said replacing restaurant, as it did nothing wrong.)

@happyfreeky7 жыл бұрын
Great samples there. I love the Korean deli with its Kimbap and other tasties. It's weird. I've gone to Hankook for about 7 years and no matter what day of the week, they rarely have more than two packs of chicken thighs, sometimes breast meat. That's it, other than the frozen chicken product.

All of them look so good! 😋 making me super hungry🐷 I like to add mayo-tuna into my classic kimbap recipe 😊 oh! and just to let you know, I think it's better to say just rice instead of sushi rice.. the seasoning for sushi rice is actually different from kimbap rice. Also sushi and kimbap are two different things. It can actually be a bit sensitive to both Korean and Japanese people so I just wanted to let you know! 💕 I love watching and trying out your recipes, thank you for uploading them! glad I found your channel 🤓

I am learning that! Sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone... and just wanted to be descriptive but maybe it was over descriptive. I love the mayo tuna combo! I've had that in an onigiri before and it would go so well in this form too. Thanks for watching!! xo

@@sterbprepper4798 i was thinking the same thing, had to scroll through the comments and see if i was the only one. I like her bubbly personality but it just seems so fake. I feel like she's making herself sound like a child and she's clearly a grown women. My suspicions are kind of right because based off her instagram avatar she likes anime. Nothing wrong with anime but women and girls who watch it always make them see "cute and innocent" but she's a grown women.. nothing is cute about making yourself look like a little girl *cough cough* arianna grande.
