There was the story of my life, then there was void, then a universe of pain, then the void, and then the life story again. There was a question, and the answer was no, and then back to the void, back to the purest pain, again and again, no, no, no. But then the answer was yes, and the darkness was parted like smoke blowing away to reveal the cleanest white light, and a tension that had been building up my whole life suddenly snapped, and it was literally the funniest thing ever, like a joke that took a lifetime to tell, and death was the punchline; the ultimate punchline.

Before I ever took any psychedelics I absorbed so much information on them, psychology, philosophy, religion. I have a very curious mind so naturally I eventually started to take psychedelics. And just like what this guy said in his report, I realized the truth of what reality is and what Buddhism, Christianity, and a lot of others are trying to guide you to realize. It all came after I had the epiphany that I had never said the words “I love you” to myself in my entire life while I was on mushrooms. So I said it and the weight of the entire fucking Earth rolled off my shoulders. I then proceeded to be thrown into the realization of what enlightenment actually is. The big cosmic joke. And each time I said “I got it!” It would hit me again with the joke as if it was the first time I was hearing again and again and it would just keep me in this short cycle of AHHA I GET IT NOW and “There’s no you to get it” and it was just completely surreal and amazing to realize the truth of reality.

Mate unilateral tinnitus is not something to leave uninvestigated. Don't want to alarm you, but best you get to the GP and explain symptoms so you can get an MRI or CT done. Might need a neurologist OPD referral if GP hesitant to get the MR themselves. You can book an appointment on your NHS app to get a phone consult reasonably quickly. Probably not an acoustic neuroma and just middle ear issue, but best to rule this diagnosis out and get a scan.

Sorry about your insomnia issues, no one really understands just how much it effects you until you’ve been through it. Definitely see a doctor about it, consider giving weed a break if you are a chronic user, it messes with your REM cycles and makes it hard to get quality sleep and also can cause you to wake up throughout the night.
