I have been sewing and quilting since the 1970s and I can tell you, this is the best built machine I have ever owned (it’s one of 16 machines that I own/collect) I have used my TL 2010 on a frame and as my #1 sewing go-to machine and it performs beautifully. If you are in the market for a machine for FMQ, a side loading bobbin really matters. This machine is easy to clean and easy to maintain. It’s not noisy, it’s not plasticky, its smooth running and it’s heavy enough to not rattle and vibrate but not too heavy to move. Best. Machine. Ever. ❤

I was only having trouble with thread breaking during free motion quilting, and thanks to your troubleshooting videos, I just completed my latest quilt with not a single breakage. Do you have any problems with speed control? The 2010 has the speed control dial but is $300 more. I’ve been sewing for 40 years so I’m pretty comfortable with sewing but I’ve never had a machine this fast.

I've had a TL2010 for about 7+ years. I love it; it's as simple as that! An absolute workhorse and solid as a rock. I use it for most of my piecing, and especially for free-motion. I also have a HZL-DX7 which is a beautiful machine. It has lots of features, and is a great complement to the TL2010.

I just bought the TL-15 (keeping my TL-2000 as a back-up machine) because I really need the speed control when I quilt. As most people on this channel know, the 2000 does not have that. So, thank you, as I just purchased it from you guys!!

I have the TL2000qi and absolutely LOVE IT! After owning it for 5 years, I just now had to take it in as the auto-cut stopped working, and the needle would keep running. Well, although I followed the manual regarding oiling, it turns out that it is too often! I was told to stop oiling it as often as the manual states, back off, as the guy that repaired it (cleaned up all the oil) said this has been the main reason he sees this machine's auto-cut stop working.

What is the difference between this machine and TL 18QVP Haruka? If I’m in Ky and you are in Fl how is service or issues handled?
@JukiJunkies Жыл бұрын
Hi Nancy, Here is a video on the differences kzbin.info/www/bejne/np-smICfbM9sr8Usi=8oAvUncAqwvMfByf For servicing/ repairs on this machine we provide a few ways for out of state customers. 1. Bring it to any local sewing machine service center. (It is a very simple machine to service/clean) 2. We have a ship back service program where we give you our shipping rates and you ship it back to us for a service or repair. (usually not much more than a local service) 3. For service and repairs we personally facetime/ call to walk them through any questions or issues they may have on any Juki. **Bonus we have a ton of how to videos on all the common topics on this Juki that usually answer tons of common questions on the TL. Thank you, David

I do not agree about the free motion, quilting capabilities on my TL 18. I have to use the microlifter I shouldn’t of had to use this. I’ll watch a few more videos from you guys on free motion quilting When I use the free motion quilting, foot and regular settings. I cannot move my fabric underneath the foot. Yes, I have raised it all the way to the top. Yes, my stitch length is zero. Yes, I have a brand new needle Even using a Microtex and still it’s painful to move the fabric. I bought a Sew steady free motion, quilting mat and it’s not helping at all. I have a feeling that the fabric is getting caught on the little cut out that they have underneath the presser foot.

@@dcwatashi Sorry that I am not able to help and that you may have to make an additional quilting foot purchase. I understand your TL18 has an extra lift/float feature for sewing thicker materials/bags etc. I would try that (if you haven’t already) and see if it allows your quilt sandwich to move more freely. Best wishes.
@dcwatashi Жыл бұрын
@@phoozchic yes I have to use the micro lifter, but I should not have to When I was at the dealer trying this machine I was having the same issues and the sales rep was not available. They moved me over to a Janome computerized. I don’t remember the model number and it was a piece of cake to do the free motion quilting I find it odd that this machine is marketed as a free motion, quilting machine And it’s like moving a brick when trying to move the fabric underneath the free motion quilting feet I am tempted to just use my singer. Quantum stylist computerized to enjoy this process but that’s not why I bought this machine. Thank you for trying
@phoozchic Жыл бұрын
@@dcwatashi one last thing. Juki has 2 needle plates; one for thick fabric and one for thin that can be swapped out according to need. One is thicker than the other (I think) I would ask the dealer if the machine was shipped with the wrong plate. That would affect your clearance between the foot and the plate. I wish you happy FMQing in whatever you find works best for you.
