Thank you for these videos ! I am so in love with my 2010Q. Just for discussions's sake, I just got your 1/4 inch compensating foot in the mail yesterday, and am using it for piecing a small quilt. It is performing wonderfully for my quarter-inch seams. Stitch length is just where I set it. I'll go back to using the original foot when I want a scant-quarter again, but this is making sewing long seams/borders a BREEZE !

Lots of great info but it would be greater if you could just not talk so fast. After a lot of research, I'm about to buy the TL-18QVP. Juki Junkies has, by far, the most useful videos and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision. Thank you for such great content.

Thanks Boki, great video. I loved your explanation of where to place the pressure foot pressure based on what you’re sewing, it’s the first time I’ve heard this. I have the TL2010 and recently purchased the walking foot guide, it is very tricky to attach. One question I have about the walking foot is it leaves black dust after I’ve been sewing for a while, which is frustrating when quilting a light coloured fabric. This is my second walking foot, as I had the same issue with the first one and it was replaced under warranty. I’ve seen others mention this same issue. Is there anything that can be done to fix this - cleaning, oiling or putting tape or something on the bottom of the foot so it doesn’t leave the black dust on my quilts? Thanks

Well since they didn’t respond to you maybe reach out to Juki themselves

I had the same problem. It comes from a certain place in the walking foot that is not oiled properly. Even though my machine was new, and I hadn't used the walking foot before, the place that needed to be oiled was dry. I followed Juki Junkies to learn how to oil it, and the difference in its appearance lubricated versus dry. Saved me $200 at the quilt shop for service to figure out what was wrong. I removed most of the black dust on the fabric by dabbing with scotch tape. The machine also came with a fair amount of oil spilled on the bottom inside plate that you remove to oil certain parts of the machine. I adore my Juki 2010, but Juki didn't ship it to me in good shape. That's weird.

I understood everything except the diagonal guide on the walking foot guide. I have no idea how that would work maybe there’s a video out there somewhere

That's just for if youre following a diagonal design on a quilt or a design on a angle.
@dcwatashi2 жыл бұрын
@@JukiJunkies thanks but my brain still can’t comprehend that diagonal relationship since the machine is a straight stitch machine. Most of us are visual learners these days anyway 😂

@@lindascraftsandthings915maybe if I watch it 15 times it might sink in 🤣🤣🤣 I watched it again and I still don’t know what she’s talking about maybe there is a video out there on how to use a diagonal seam guide I could understand if you wanted to gradually turn the fabric and sew a circle maybe you just have to start to play with it

If using the walking foot, can you backstitch a couple of stitches with it on (to lock the stitches in place) or does it have to be forward stitches only? I know that with my Brother walking foot you aren't supposed to backstitch with the walking foot on. Thanks. 13:06
@JukiJunkies Жыл бұрын
Correct you can back stitch with it as well :)

@@JukiJunkies thank you! My husband and I just bought the TL-18QVP and it's good to know that I can back stitch a couple of stitches (to lock them in) without having to worry that I might damage the walking foot. 😊
