Pshh... I'm cruising through 3, 45 minute motos a day... i race naked with a big stiffy usually hanging to the left of the seat and drink 30 racks in between motos. 1st place easy. Fuck this math. I need more cock and balls high in the air so I can grab them when I smash the quad. Casing you say?... the only case I know of is the case of beer in my Mercedes Sprinter Van

I've been a runner in the past and had success with the HR zones and training for 5K, 10K races, so I have a clue on this HR training and know it is ~essential to reach the upper limits of our bodies potential... -- Keeping my HR in a specific HR zone was not too difficult when running but when on the motorcycle, it seems very hard to raise my HR and keep it at a ~specific rate when riding laps... Is there some trick to maintaining a specific HR when doing laps on a track? -- Thanks for any words of advice you might can offer...

250txc . If you’re not willing to push really hard on a motorcycle, you won’t build the heart rate. Intensity and attacking the track is different from riding laps. Charging through obstacles rather than just going over them. Try that and see what you’re heart rate does. Then adjust. Go enter a race and see what the heart rate looks like.

@@appliedperformance773 Just some happened I did just that yesterday on our track and it did push my HR up to the 160 BPM range,, We were close to race pace so I'm not expecting much more unless I start just trying to push my HR upwards with a riding style this over-board and we both know that is not what a rider should be trying for,,, Riders and runners are both same as we both want to keep out HRs down as much as possible and not get into the MAX HR range,, -- My running days I was ~40 yrs old and now I'm 60 so I'm not sure that changes things really,,

@@appliedperformance773 Tying to respond here is very hard due to this low-quality software fix that was provided here a few months back... -- I was just at the track and rode with a friend at close to race pace and was able to get my HR up to the 160 BPM range, this is still much easier than being a runner... But I think this is OK? This was 15 minutes at this pace, after a couple other 10-12 minutes of riding at similar BPM range. -- There isan age different as when a runner, I was in my 40s and now I'm 61... Can this change my HR any? -- As far as not willing to push, PUSHING too hard was my problem with running because I never really rested my body between different running days and I stayed hurt or over-trained for yrs TILL I got a HR monitor and realized I was running hard on all days and not keeping my HR low on easy days for recovery...

250txc . Yessir, pushing your intensity up will get you there. Then try to put in the same lap times while controlling the heart rate and attacking but maintaining a repeatable sustainable intensity level. Just a lot to focus on. The adrenaline of a race will get the HR up higher on the line. So you start from a higher level but after the first lap things will go back to normal. I try to stay within 10-15% of max in practice because in races it’s usually within 10%.

250txc . I would think age would drop your anaerobic level a bit but no matter the level we just try to work within percentages of max. Being a runner, the cardio portion shouldn’t be a problem for you but the intensity and aggression level needed to create serious work has a risk/reward aspect to it in moto. As an A class/ local pro level rider I am charging through the obstacles and turns in a way that doesn’t allow for a lot of rest. So we find places (like in the air) to relax. If you look at the lit pro data of the top guys their heart rate is within 10% of max the entire 35 minutes. The track and obstacles coming at you faster is like running with hurdles every 20 feet or every 100 feet.

KZbin, speaking as a professional software tester at m$ for a decade, your new way of replying to comments is very hard to understand and even execute... -- Don't believe me? Have a everyday user try to respond or edit a comment he \ she made by clicking that bell icon... You'll see you need to fix this awkward programming you gave all of us to deal with... You do things as simple as hiding the 'Save Cancel' buttons for starters...
