Hello Chris. Thank you for the very generous lesson. It's such a wonderful tune and seems to be made for the Ukulele.

This is one of my favourite jazz tunes. I initially learnt it through your 1 minute play along a few years ago, then transposed it to Bb to match the Ella version. I’ve only recently started peppering in the V9 instead of the V7, makes for some nice voice leading

Nice song, also one of my fave movies with Ryan O’Neal and his daughter Tatum. 😀

I have to admit I’ve never seen the movie. Putting it in the list of things to do :)

Thanks again for posting this classic jazz tune. I got the whole song down, just need to practice. I even figure out the last jazzy chords you did as an outro. That is, I can play them but I'm unsure of the names of those chords. After the C I named the remaining 5 chords as F#o7/Ao7/F/F7 and G#o7. Do the charts go into detail about the more jazzy version?

Being able to play them is always more important than knowing what to call them. Really what's happening at the end is C to C#dim7 (moving up to another inversion of the chord) Dm9, to G7b9. More or less the chord changes to the song with just a little flavor. The full lesson has a chart with these voicings as well as a 15 minute lessons on using them to construct a chord melody solo. Each month the charts always have a second version of the tune with the more fun chord voicings and a lesson on where thy come from so you can start implementing them yourself in songs.

@@Banjoleletinman Hey, thanks Christopher...and what a delicious flavour those chords are. When I have more time I'll be sure to check out the full lesson.
