Stu, As I watch the varied instructors on KZbin I realize there is actually a place for all of you. I’ll watch a little girl teach the most basic of strum patterns with 1,000’s of views and lots of thank you comments, as this is exactly what those viewers were searching for. I’ll watch the hardened veteran teach numerous examples of triplets, again with positive responses from those looking to solve its mystery. And personally, I enjoy them all. Maybe it’s because I realize there is something to be learned from everyone of them. I sold and taught magic for over 30 years and I learned something new from every student I taught. Why? Because I was wise enough to listen. And I’m betting through all your workshops you found the same thing to be true. So much to learn, and all we have to do is listen. I really enjoy your videos, I love your enthusiasm and your on screen manor. In watching the variety of instruction out there I’ve found it is the sincere desire to have your viewers/students succeed which set the true teachers apart and you are one of the true teachers. Thank you for sharing your skills and one day maybe I’ll be able to share a little something to you. Take care, Wes

Thanks Wes - I would be delighted to learn from you! You are very correct in your observations - and also correct that I learn as much (or more) from students than I impart to them. When I teach a group class in person, I follow their lead and "lead from behind" by taking cues of what direction to go from the people who are gathered to join me. Thanks for hanging here & sharing your insights!

Thanks Stu, most of what I have learned to play on my ukulele comes from you. Tried It's 'Only a Paper Moon' at a local open mic night recently and I think it went down well. Look forward to more swing standards.

I’m not even half way though and I have a BIG smile on my face. You’re a brilliant KZbin find for this old, but newbie, ukulele player. I’ll learn so much!

Yeah, that's a spike fiddle from Sudan that a friend brought back for me. The skin is ripped, so it does;t play anymore, but it's a nice piece :)

I am joined patrions, Uku Zen, but why it is much easier to listen your teaching on KZbin? Even finding tabs. Can you, please, give tips? I am a $5 monthly patrron. Plus do you have a chords marked in a regular way for the beginners, like a pictures of a chord? I have to slow your videos down to be able to identify fingers. Nothing about it on your webpage. Plus, would love to have arpeggios in different keys to see - it helps fingers independency on both arms. Just arpeggios in different keys for both hands to pick and play at the same time training all fingers, please.
@UkuleleZen5 жыл бұрын
Hi Pavel, Thanks for your support on Patreon! I try to show things in a detailed way...I will make sure to slow things down even further. Almost all my song sheets have chord diagrams for people to learn from. I will make a lesson on arpeggios soon - dedicated to you. Thanks for the feedback!!

@@UkuleleZen I am a visual artist. 11-3-2=1 is just a numbers for me. Chart with visual bars and chords I am getting from another ukuteachers - not a problem. Plus, please, don't slow down your video - I don't want to slow more advanced students. I cam slowing your videos down using YouYube options up to 4 times if needed but still can't get solo chords on "Isn't she lovely" yet. And it is the main song I want to play on your level in one month. Playing the other songs in between also. Great lessons, man! Amazing arrangement. Looking forward to learn more from you.
@ThePavelAntonov5 жыл бұрын
Looking forward to all neck arpeggio excersises and chords for Isn't she lovely. All chrods are clear till you hit the meludy - then would be nice to actually see the progression more clearly. Soon ILl be able to read notes, sorry!
@UkuleleZen5 жыл бұрын
Hey Pavel, thanks for hanging out and watching my videos here… Slowing it down is definitely a good idea and remember… If you can say it you’ll be better prepared to play it. Use your voice as a learning tool it’s a powerful one. Thanks again for watching! -Stu
