Cirrus plane has awesome features...mate...
@WOTArtyNoobs4 жыл бұрын
The problem with the Cirrus is that although it has only one engine and flies at 31,000 ft, it actually burns almost as much fuel at that altitude as a twin-engine jet flying at 41,000 ft. At 41K, the twin will also be faster and so what you lose in fuel you gain in time as you cruise at +400 kt. The Cirrus does have a spacious cabin, but there are other jets, such as the Premier 1 that also have space and a toilet too. Although the Premier is not made anymore, you can pick up a decent one for between $1.5m to $2.5m and this jet should have been included on your list.

Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that in Poland, the first flight of the plane named Flaris LAR01 has just taken place. This unit beats Vision's head. cruising speed 700 km / h, range 3,200 km, altitude up to 12 km, although at the moment the company is certified in Europe for flights up to 7.5 km. Most importantly, Flaris takes off from the runway distance of 250 meters, and it can be unpaved areas like grass.. So from most aeroclubs in the world actualy. Vision jet needs an asphalt and about 1000 meters. It also has a parachute system in the upgraded version with a fall on the tail to protect the spine, airbags in seat belts, and can soar 15 km for every 1000 meters of descent. Which gives a lot of chances to fly to the airport without the engine. As for the cost, it's around 300 - 350 $ / h flight. Price 1,8 milion euro Thank you goodnight
@00HiGhGuY005 жыл бұрын
I love the Flaris Lar01. It look way better than the vision jet IMO. It uses the exact same engine as the Vision jet, but because it's lighter and more aerodynamic it has a longer range and higher top speed. However, they need to upgrade the avionics to Garmin g3000 like the vision jet. Also, IMO, the Lar01 would be better if it had throttle in the center and a sidestick on either side. The way it is configured currently is with a throttle on either side and a control stick in between the left and right seat, so not actually even a center stick in between legs.

@matthewduhon4 жыл бұрын
keep in mind, it isnt just the cost per hour. the Cirrus may be the lowest operating cost, but will take you almost 1.5+ longer to get to the destination, so is you look at cost per mile in that hour it is much closer to some of the higher operating cost jets.

Hook Eat Up; I am in a pool of 5 friends living in Europe looking to buy this $2mio plane without financing. The various brokers/agents/etc pegged the variable operating costs at $700/hour (fuel-maintenance-overhaul-handling). Fixed costs at $180.000/year (crew/training/hangar/insurance/various), and depreciation at 10%/year (2 million x 10% = $200.000). We expect to clock 1000 hours/year in the group, equaling $1080/hour net cost ($700/variable per hour + $180/fixed per hour + $200/depreciation per hour). Doing it this way we would each invest $400.000 to get in, pay $1000/hour net depreciation included.

I worked on the Eclipse E400 prototype in 2007 which had the single engine V tail like the Cirrus SF50 but was a 4 seater. It flew at Oshkosh 2007 while the others only had static models (we went from paper to flight in 1 year using the wings and nose assembly from the E500 prototype, otherwise the fuselage was a carbon fiber honeycomb monocoque design which was super cool). Since I worked on the flight control system as a contractor I figured I should apply to Eclipse for the production version but sadly they went under. I had no idea they brought it back with updates.

0:54 DO NOT BUY THE PHENOM 100, it’s trash, TRASH, it only reaches 1,100 nautical miles with full tank, that’s nothing, and it gets worse, it reaches that if only two people are in the plane (counting pilots). My friend bought one of these and he is now selling it. Like, even my lancair Mako reaches more with four people. Don’t make a huge mistake. To put this in perspective, you have to make 2 stops to get from Arizona to Texas, that means the plane will take off 4 times. Does that sounds like efficient to you?

I may be incorrect but the SF 50 is thirstier (58 gal/hr) than the Eclipse 550 & the Eclipse is built to be owner operated like the SF 50. Of course maintenance on twin jet engines may be higher than the single jet SF 50 depending on tbo time.
@mojogrip6 жыл бұрын
May be you're right, but remember that if even burn more fuel, you essentially still have only one engine to operate and maintain in the SF50. That makes it cheaper to fly.
@eddiedelahoz6 жыл бұрын
It would be awesome if fuel was the only operating cost, in anything.
@gabb1594 жыл бұрын
The fuel burn on the SF 50 is higher than 58 gal/hr. Maybe if it ever gets RVSM it might get close to that, but at FL280 it's around 75 gal/hr.
