Something to note is that the Monster selections in games aren't strictly about popularity, but about fulfilling a rounded-out roster and fitting progression. The best example is Jyuratodus, who wasn't selected for MH Rise's roster because of popularity. Many other Monsters could return if they're given a niche to fulfill in the game's depicted ecology and overall role in the game's progression.

Honestly, I think they could make Quropeco a higher-tier monster and make it work. Think about it, with the way they've expanded on the additional monsters that start in the map alongside the target I think they could do something very interesting with Peco and have him regularly "dismiss" and "summon" monsters as the fight goes on.

5th gen was the gen of the fanged wyverns. I hope and pray that 6th gen is the generation of Snake, bug and amphibian wyverns I also really hope Queropeco is brought back and personally i think that his gimick could be that instead of summonijg the pickle only make it so that he could summon any invader type monster. Somerimes when he calls out a jo shoes up like we expect, sometimes you get bombed from above by a bazel, sometimes the super sayan monkey rolls up and sometimes a brachidios just punches gou in the face for existing. Maybe a new never before seen invader rolls up tk fuck shit up. Could also make it that in different biomes the odds of specific invaders being called in are different. Maybe jo has a 50% chance to show up when in a forest but only a 10% chance in the desert while bazel only shows up 5% of the time in the snowlands but a 70% chance to show up on a beach Cliffside

The idea of a wide open ceamless monster hunter world sounds so nice with certain areas being home to stronger monsters you could accidentally wander into. Just the idea of exploring a random cave you find only for a Gigginox to come sneaking up on you from the ceiling. Your quests just being a target and a description of habitat that you have to explore and find.

Of course, this allows for the possibility of some of the biggest monsters seen in the history of Monster Hunter, such as Dalamadur, Dire Miralis, and even Laviente! With locales themselves seamlessly knitted together to allow for open world exploration, you can certainly imagine that we'll be seeing such enormous monsters taking up residence in some very interesting corners of the world. I'd just hope that swimming and aquatic combat returns for Monster Hunter Wilds so that we all can experience Dire Miralis again, because I've heard the music, you can imagine the terror of hearing that Black Dragon's theme as you try to hunt such a legendary Elder Dragon!

I honestly like the idea of the massive siege monsters just roaming an open map, almost like a World Event in an MMO. You could have them wandering so you have to follow them across the map eventually reaching an area with siege weapons available in some fashion.

The first time I ever encountered the trickster. I didn't know what it did. Then it summoned a rathalos (I don't know what a rathalos was either). And I was like ohh dragon. Im probably gonna lose this quest due to time but I don't care, I wanna fight the dragon. I hate no idea it was out of my laugue. I assumed if it spawned on the map. I could fight it. I quickly realized I couldn't fight it because it killed me so fast. I lose the quest but not due to a lack of time

Top 5 monsters I would like to see: 5. Shen Gaoren. He is now the only crab I haven’t fought 4/3 Garangolm and Goss Harag. They were done dirty in Rise and Sunbreak and need another chance to shine 2 Gigginox. He pulls off “creepy sneaky” orders of magnitude better than the zombified turkey that is Khezu 1 Lagiacrus. The best monster should be in every game, obviously.

I started REALLY getting into Monster Hunter in the new gens despite starting in older gens (It took me a few tries, ahaha), but when I went back to older gens I really came to like those four and I'd love to see them make a comeback. ...I will admit my main reason for picking Nibelsnarf is because I think he's got a silly name and I'd like to see newer players react to that, but also, the number of times I've stopped to heal RIGHT as he turns towards me, jaws wide open, rushing towards me... I need more people to feel what I felt in those moments lmao

The slap in the face with Qurupeco is that he hasn't been forgotten, Capcom just locked him up in the Stories games. There isn't a good reason for him to have been excluded this long. Even the realism argument for World isn't the best since real world birds can get pretty weird.

Kinda hot take but... I want to see a return encounter with Athal-Ka. We have so very few big bugs, and only she among them counts as a near elder dragon level threat, so with the large scale of wilds i could see them having a special desert area where one could have set up shop that we eventually have to take down as part of a big bad kinda questline.

I'd like to imagine a new sleep monster being something that just spews a ton of sleep, but then when they're down goes for the kill IMMEDIATELY. The weapons from that could have high sleep and crit chance, low raw, and mediocre sharpness just to face it, kind of like a nasty nargacuga

I definitely want gigginox back. He frustrated me sure but I liked him more than Khezu and the low rank vampire, and G rank dark priest looking armours were so cool. I also hope (on the topic of 3U) that even without swimming coming back we get a return with Ceadues in some kind of on water ship battle kinda like how we fight Jhen Morhan in the desert. Specifically I'd like goldbeard ceadeus cuz I miss the black n gold anubis outfit. It was one of my favs.

I just want an elder dragon(Kulve Taroth) vs wyvern( Akantor) in a siege like fight an 8 player siege. The two siege monsters will fight each other while the 8 players do their best to stop both of them. The difficuly would be the area and the insane amount of aoe attacks going around.

The 2 Gen 3 beasties are definitely missed as much as their Gen 3 leader Lagiacrus. Gigginox has always been infinitely better than Khezu to me. Not only is his design cooler, but his whole fight makes you feel like you have to keep awareness of everything. As Gigginox can attack from the ground, the walls, the ceilings, and all this while you also dodge endlessly spawing Giggi's. As for Quropeco, he might just be the greatest of the early game bird wyverns in my eyes. His 2 gimmicks of summoning a random monster (often way above your current level) and even buffing himself and his allies makes him such a deadly and unpredictable enemy, and he's only the 2nd monster you fight in Tri.

Only initial imagining is something that knocks you out & repeatedly slaps you awake, and if it's that sleep-focused it seems like it'll be annoying to deal with & boring once it's main mechanic is countered. Afterthought - only semi-interesting thing I've thought of is a dedicated dodger that tries to snipe you while maintaining distance, and goes fucking mental on you when you go down - maybe has a mechanic to kidnap a hunter when there's a group?, kinda like Evolve had

With 3U being my first MH I am very attached to Gigginox and Qurupeco. After seeing a Khezu it was like "what a lame version of a Gigginox" but then they just kept putting it in the games and the more I saw it the more I came to hate it. I feel like my friends and I fought a Qurupeco once or twice before, I think I had some of it's armor, but we're fighting it and I wasn't looking at it for what ever reason and on of my friends is like "dragon, DRAGON" and I turn around to see a Rathian landing and it was like "what the fuck is that thing?!?!" They look like they're from two different games, it was chaotic. Do we fight the bird? Are we supposed to fight the new thing?

shen garren could be fun, if he got a rework. hypnocotrice, no. fuck the lazy, ugly, sleep kut ku. he looks like they shoved a tree up his ass with the bottom sticking out with bits of roots. i want more monsters with sleep and paralysis but nothing that lazy. yama could be really fun with a rework. have him flying around a forest where he has an attack that is he's hungry so he inhales the forest under him, for the soil, and pukes up what he doesn't need. that being; trees, small monsters, and hunters that got caught in it. in 5th gen furious rajang's new grab would damage other hunter, if he threw you at the end and you collided with another hunter. the thrown hunter wouldn't take more damage but in this case i'd be fine if they did. well no, not the Frontier fight, that's lazy MMO AOE spam, not a real hunt. let them do their own tweeking of the fight. they were the ones who stood the test of time, after all. well, only one nerscylla flies, the one that makes 0 ecological sense. seriously, it lives in the desert but preys on a monster that's in the tundra, and um has Doflamingo's devil fruit it can web swing from the sky. vespoid queen is... um, the idea isn't horrible, she marks you to make her minions more agressive to the marked target but that's really it. i love more unique pack leaders but she's that done poorly, so far anyway. more raptors, or any greats, should have unique AI/hunting behavior in combat, i've been saying this for years. yes Capcom, give us back the barbecue king. we have his weapon as a hammer in World so all we need is his barbecue helmet. his beats you with meat that is cooked on his head, if that isn't Monster Hunter brand silliness, i don't know what is. some wine that he's humanoid, those are the cowards. gigginox is a tragedy!! he's better than khezu... at least objectively at what they were meant to be, being scary cave dwellers. it's sad that so many, wrongly, call sudo wyverns a trio when they are a quartet. baleful is however one of the worst subspecies in the series, he's like "what if the thing we made to fix the khezu mistake was more like khezu?" it's so sad that we haven't seen gigginox in so long, i want him back. yes, have qurupeco with an even better phone plan, give him an evven wider variety of monsters to call on. same with crimson, we have more deviljho like invader monsters now for him to have on speed dial too. they are such fun and quirky birds, we have to have them at least in Wilds' expansion or, at worst, in portablele 6th. i just hope that they keep the magick alive with crimson, have his new deviljho level friend be a surprise that is not in any promotional material at all. let us discover that new horror in game.
