Some people failed to even do basic maintenance on their car and whenever part goes out due to neglect and cost them big time they always lash out on the brand itself. Person A: "Man, Mazda is a unreliable brand, never buy any crap from them! I had a Mazda2 for 3 years before the engine went out at 105K miles." Person B: "That's strange since most Mazdas including the 2 are just a reliable as a civic or a corolla, have you ever got it taken to a local mechanic to see what was the problem is before or just ignore the warnings before it gave out on you?" Person A: "I did, they said the engine oil was sludge up so much that the engine components grinded itself away! It always had oil in it when I checked it!" Person B: "Right, so you're saying that you didn't change out your engine oil for 3 years because you didn't need too? You do know that engine oil needs to be changed out in 3 to 6 months on average right? And it's way cheaper than a engine replacement by far." Either the person A will gets quite or say something that goes... "Changing out engine oil are a scam anyways." "But I didn't need to change out the engine oil since I add it more when it gets low." "I'm too poor for getting an oil change for my car. *While paying for the latest iPhone and phone bill that's over $90 a month*" Person B: "Well I found the problem and I just solved it! You're a fucking idiot. Stick with a bikecyle next time."

I’m a Tesla Model S Plaid owner and I still don’t get the issue that people have with slower, amazing sounding cars. If I had enough room/money for a secondary exotic car, I’d have a Huracan or an R8 because of how much I love the sound of a V10. Yes the speed is a great extra to my car but with only one garage space I needed something practical, or else one of those two would be my choice. I love sound, I just had to sacrifice it for now. The problem is that sound people notoriously act like stereotypical teenaged girls, which is why they should’ve been #1 on the list. There’s nothing wrong with liking engine noises and enjoying them as you do pulls in an isolated area, but sound people don’t do that. They INTENTIONALLY rev as loud as possible in the most public areas because they’re ignorant enough to think that everyone is looking at them because they’re cool. No; only other car guys think you’re cool, which is less than 10% of people. Literally EVERYBODY else is just looking because they’re thinking about how much of a pathetic self-centered attention-whore it takes to rev in a parking garage or other heavily populated area. Whoever hasn’t seen the south park episode called “the f word” needs to watch it immediately. It’s about harley riders, but the point of the episode applies perfectly to sound-car guys too

The "mopar boat" thing actually works very well for me the other way around, I own a 1999 Civic with a modified 1.4 liter (these engines weren't in the US, we got them in Europe because of emmissions), does around 130 hp which is (with this small weight) more than enough to have fun in corners and back roads (revs to 7.7 k rpm) and people keep saying "oh but that's so very slow, a diesel whatever is faster than that/my mom's SUV has that much power"...I KNOW.And I DON'T REALLY CARE.What I care for is the handling, the great mileage, the practicality, it's lightly modded with only oem parts so it's reliable as well...People refuse to accept the idea that having a sensible and just a bit quick car (especially when I just got my license) doesn't automatically close you out of being a car guy...And then other times I get called a "ricer" because...because it's a Honda? I have a 100% stock exhaust system with a factory bolt on tip so it looks nice, I have not a single sticker, let alone a wing or anything...Springs are stock height...still a "ricer" according to so called "real car enthusiasts"

"If its a joke, fine who cares. But because how long they drag it on for seems like they really believed it." This is totally relatable as people in the comments today are really believing bantering jokes are true and no facts are in it. This doesn't apply just for car talks but as for normal human conversations, this shouldn't be practiced as they spread lies.

Hey brother, I really liked this type of video. It gives a bit more depth to your video library, without going far off the main purpose of this channel. One of the biggest highlights is that you bring attention to the constant clout-chasing and one-upsmanship of people online. Such vanity is the bane of every interest, hobby, and industry, so it’s good to see you address it. Fine work! If you’re taking suggestions on new videos, maybe you should consider the American cars that have held their value and even appreciated over the years that you find most notable. Perhaps talking about the reasons why such cars have increased in value, and what purchasing one may cost in a few years given the circumstances. It would be a more intensive video, and I may be in the minority of people who like those kinds of things, but I would like to suggest it anyway. Finally, Memorial Day is nearly upon us, so I wish you and yours well. Let’s all relax a little, but also take time in remembrance of those who’ve served our country proudly.

It's actually important to get the word out to the car community that it reflects on the rest of us if you do or say idiotic things, whether its in the comments section or at a car show. I was at a cars & coffee event in a wealthier town near me and I was over in the Porsche section (they all parked next to each other) and I told one person that I liked his custom wheels and he was just bragging about how much they cost and it was just a big turnoff. An alternate of that theme works for a car I own. I have a Jaguar E-Type and get the question 'is it the 12 cylinder?' all the time. When I respond no its a 6 cylinder, they appear less interested. Despite the fact this 6 cylinder design is one of the most famous engines in the world that has powered Le Mans winning cars multiple times and the car was the fastest production car on the planet when it was released in 1961 @ 151mph. Its just not worth trying to explain. I run a car show for a lot of years and could categorize several more sterotypical car people. I'm 53 so no spring chicken but I detest the mentality of the old school muscle car guys who looked down at the younger generation with their choice of cars. I would welcome anyone who was interested in cars regardless of choice of ride. I can always find something positive to say about anyones choice of car and usually know enough about whatever they own to have a decent conversation, sometime at the surpise of the owner. you’re absolutely right about how boring itd be if there was enough “speed focused” people, honestly the car community has gone to shit, everyones hating on the next guy with no real end to it. The concept of “theres always a bigger fish” never clicks with people and it’s hilarious to me, constant hatred, constant flexing etc etc, imo ever since it became “cool” to like cars, as in being a “car person” became mainstream on social media the community went straight down the drain.

Great take. Back in the early days of the 5.0 Fox bodies, a car that was hard to beat for the buck; they were legit as quick as muscle cars from the sixties. There was always some dude that would reminisce about say a “350 SS Nova, 396 Chevelle, 340 Demon could beat anything”. It was a time when it was hard to believe a new car could be as fast or beat the mythical untouchable muscle car. It was always fun proving them wrong. I just had to mind the contemporary Buick GN/X…

I remember I was in a group chat and I mentioned my favourite car. A Datsun 280ZX Turbo and almost everyone on the chat started saying ohh it's slow, 180hp stock from a turbo is so slow and horrible power from a turbocharger. While their car's fully modified Subarus and Hyundai Genesis, with 300hp to 500hp. Literally comparing a stock car power to a fully custom modified car. I literally had to mention that it's faster then it's rivals from the 1980s and not the slowest sports car out there. Also with 203 lb of torque which is good torque. Plus I care more of the looks of the car then power. It was so annoying to me and pretty immature of them for doing that in the first place.

Some people think "loud" means "more power." NO! If your car is deafeningly loud at idle, it's either on a racetrack or it's broken and needs to be fixed. Powerful cars can be quiet and still be powerful. If you're the guy that couldn't afford the V8, making your V6 LOUDER isn't doing you any favors. Everybody knows what you're doing.

Why are other car guys so captivated by a 'loud' exhaust sound, rather than its tone/tamber/character? The baffling thing to me is it's soo rampant, too. I've never heard any modified S550 (Mustang GT) exhaust that sounds better than Ford's Active Exhaust set to Track mode.

People I hate at car meets: 1. People who use time-out dolls or other lame things as props. In fact, don't use props or setups unless you're at a judged event. 2. Stupidity Junkies. people who have to rev, do burnouts, drift and otherwise end up in an epic fail. 3. The Stock show-off. I love seeing Lamborghinis, new models, and immaculate old models, but unless you have something genuinely interesting to say, I don't care about your trim options. 4. Sh*t Starters. People who always have something to prove and often can't cash their own checks. 5. People who are obviously at the wrong event. Showing off their new Mustang at a motorcycle meet, or parking a stock 328i among exotics.

I clicked on this video because I wanted to see if the worst kind of car person really has finally left the building or not. I ran a tuner shop in the early 2000s. In the 90s and all the way through the 2010s the worst kind of car person was the basic honda civic boi. He encapsulated all of these top 5 traits and i'm not exaggerating. You know the kind. They slap on a K&N air filter, a coffee can to their tailpipe, as many type R parts as they could rip off a wrecked type R integra, unpainted or bondo bodykit, and would just keep the revlimiter pegged at all times and somehow they were the best guy on the road. They literally drove the police crazy and single handedly caused the police to crack down on an otherwise awesome car scene at the time and break up any street meet. They just had to race everything to prove they were the best and would do whatever it took to win, including zooming past people and flashing hazards even though the race was over to claim a false win, starting fist fights afterwards and stealing off other honda owners. I literally had to stop with my own car shows because the stealing got so out of hand. They seemed to love stealing those Honda badges from each other or damaging another persons vehicle. Ever single one of these guys seemed to look and act like an angry chihuahua. I'm kinda glad its back to domestics and supercars bickering back and forth. This is nothing to compared to the nightmare that was the NOPI civics. I'm glad its finally over.
