Mars Violet you can substitute the cows milk with cashew milk(you can make it by soaking 1 cup of cashews over night then rinse it and drain it and blend it with 2 cups of water, pour it into a cheesecloth bag and squeeze it) plus you can substitute the vanilla icecream with coconut or cashew vanilla icecream (search for vegan icecreams on peaceful cuisine channel) and for the whipped cream you can use canned coconut milk and place it in the fridge overnight then use the solid cream and whip it with sugar) enjoy 😊 ❤️

My favourite kitchen hack (since I have a sweet tooth) is when storing a piece of cake or cupcake, place it on the lid of the container instead of in the container. Then place the container on top, so the container is upside down, but the food it right side up. Then when you try to get it out to eat, lift the container off the lid and it's already on the lid which is a flat surface, instead of trying to dig it out of the container and making a mess.

My absolute FAVORITE time saving hack in the kitchen HAS to be precooking all of my ground meat and freezing it by the pound in quart size bags! (I purchase in bulk!) This saves TONS of time when preparing meals during the week I just have to thaw it, and season the meat according to whatever recipe I need! I also prep my chicken (cut off the extra fat) ahead of time before freezing for a later date! I save SO much time this way! ☺️ I love your videos!! And I would LOVE to be a winner!

Jetmorrison I normally use water only as the liquid in my smoothies and it does not normally curdle. I just put a teaspoonful in. It may not work with all types of milk or milk substitutes but as its only a teaspoon and everything is blended anyway, its not a huge issue. Kerrie x

My favourite kitchen time-saving hack is buying larger quantities of vegetable broth/stock, measuring it out and dividing it into separate containers. That way I am able save time in the kitchen because I can just defrost it to use in recipes without having to make it myself or run out to the store to get it if a recipe calls for it. Also it's a great money saving hack because buying in larger quantities is often cheaper! Hope I can win this awesome contest!

As a stay at home mom, my life saving hack in the kitchen is to pre-cook/pre-made ahead (breakfast, lunch and supper) for the week! when the boys are taking nap. that way my husband can easily help himself. I brew pot of coffee and freeze some of it on the ice cube trays and the rest let it sit in the fridge for easy ice coffee. I freeze yogurt and fruits to cool off the boys during hot weather and they loved it!!!

My favorite kitchen hack is to always keeping cornflakes on hand in the kitchen. Last night I was making Chicken Parmesan and remembered I forgot to buy breadcrumbs and didn't have bread. No problem - I put some spices and cornflakes in a blender... and voilà, I had a breadcrumb-like mixture that worked so well. I also will use it for some crunch in my yogurt or oatmeal. I will use it for a crumb topping with cinnamon and sugar for muffins and cakes. It is the perfect universal ingredient that adds so much to a dish... yet so simple!

My favorite time saving hack is I lay a couple newspaper on one part of my kitchen island/counter, followed by a chopping block, then you cut, peel, chop, slice all ingredients there. All the peels, remaining juices, pits will be contained in newspaper. At the end, I just need to roll the newspaper and throw in the garbage bin. The kitchen island will be good and not sticky. Very minimal effort to clean up.

I'm a full-time working, mom of 3, so I need to save as much time as possible. Besides the obvious meal planning, doubling recipes and freezing them, I save time in my prep. Most of my east-Indian recipes require garlic and ginger. I can't imagine cutting and mincing them every day. So I batch-peel each, blend them in the food processor with a bit of oil, put them each in a jar and store in the fridge. When cooking, I just twist the top off and scoop out however much I need! :-)

Baking usually requires room temperature butter and eggs, but I always store mine in the fridge. To quickly bring up to temperature, I grate the butter on a cheese grater and spread it out on a plate. I submerge the cold eggs in a bowl of warm water. While I wait, I measure out the remaining ingredients, prepare/line my pans and preheat my oven. By the time I'm ready to assemble my recipe, my butter and eggs are at perfect room temperature!

My favourite kitchen hack is when making protein, make extra. It is boring I know, but I am more about being efficient in the kitchen with my time. The next meal is so much easier to plan when the protein is ready to go. Loved the vid.

Well I am not Canadian, but working in a restaurant my time saving tip is cleaning up during cooking time. As you would usually wait you can do the dishes you've used and wipe down any cold surface in the kitchen and you safe yourself the hassle of cleaning up after everything is done. You end up having a clean kitchen and delicious food to serve. And if you have a long cooking time you can clean out any cabinets or storage. Also for searching things in your freezer and wanting to know if it's still good label the package of when your prepped it and what's in it. Saves the time of defrosting it and then finding out its gone rancid.

I'm in university so I'm living away from home and I have to cook for myself. My favourite time saving hack in the kitchen is cooking things in my rice cooker (i don't have a slow cooker) I literally just have to throw all the ingredients in and just turn on the switch, thats it. I usually make rice porridge (congee) or some sort of pasta thing or just steam things. I can just throw everything in before a class and when I get back I have my dinner all ready for me. Also I usually cook a large batch of congee for example so I store half of it in the freezer so I have meals for the future weeks. This saves me a lot of time and effort as university can get stressful.

Favorite time-saving kitchen hack is when meal-prepping, I cook quinoa or other grains/pastas in a big batch and then save the rest for other meals throughout the week. I also love one-pot dishes where everything can be assembled using minimal cookware so you have less dishes to do!

My favorite hack is adding fresh fruit to my waffle, pancake and cake layer. Just drop it in the batter. Chop the apples, peaches, grapes, bananas, etc. its really good.

my ultimate time saving hack is one day bulk shopping and meal prepping...cooking and dividing meals into smaller portions...i pre -make my own tomato sauce as it is base for my stews and curries...i buy the crate of plum/roma tomatoes, blend them, and cook them till most liquid is gone...it is tasky but once it is done it eases the rest of my cooking...
