I maybe wrong but I'm starting to think that the development of personal branding is overrated as far as the branding assets and technical stuff goes. Most of the personal brands you mentioned as well as the ones that come to mind just show up consistently and the rest of the stuff is just decoration. I know I'm not saying anything you already know, I'm just thinking out loud.
