I only speak chinese with my laoshi and everytime i dont understand because she speaks too fast or there are new words, "huh?" or "什么?" is enough because it happened on daily basis so no need to say those phrase again 😂

Yes, you're right - I would normally say "你可以帮我...吗?" or "请帮我..." but the word order "可以请你帮我...吗" was new to me. I wonder if it makes it a bit more polite?

近两年以来都没看Fiona和Iona教中文的视频，不知道自这段时间里谁的进步最大，Iona的英语还是我的中文 🧐（毫无疑问是她吧）。说实话，两年前的我每当上网看个教外国人中文的视频时，虽然觉得太有趣了，同时感到有一点绝望。原因很简单了，就是因为Iona或Fiona说的每一句”正常速度“的中文我都听不太清楚。当时认为无论我学到头发白了，学到假想的老婆快要离婚了，都还学不会。不过，不久后就开始看那些专门探讨不同国家的文化区别的综艺节目，例如说叫做”二分之一强“的那个。当初他们说的百分之八十我都听不懂，连台上的外国人也是，可是后来发现学习语言的一大部分都是在潜意识发生的。虽然大概近两年以来都没坐下来背词或者很认真的学习中文，但还是进了一大步了。总之，谁还是以为中文太难学了，我就建议谁开始每天至少听一个小时的中文，不管你内容有多复杂，都会有助于你学习中文！别太怀疑自己的能力，自己的潜力吧，加油！ As someone who previously watched Fiona and Iona on Chinese Pod with a nagging feeling of, "I'll never be any good at mandarin," I implore anyone out there with the same doubts to shut your ears and just dive in! You'll be amazed what at least one hour per day of immersion (without flashcards) can do for you after just 1-2 years. To my fellow learners -- don't be afraid of not knowing something, on the contrary that's exactly the content you should seek out 👍🏻
