I would love to see the opposite side of this video, products that you've had for years or even have repurchased multiple times that you still get excited about even years later, one of those that sticks out for me is my bh cosmetics 120 palette in 02, it's just such a fantastic variety of colors and finishes and they perform well and it was affordable as hell.

Tarte Shape Tape concealer is soooo heavy and drying! I agree. And I could never get the amount right - no matter what, I was always getting too much off the applicator, drove me crazy. Unfortunately, I bought TWO tubes as backups (WHY?? It lasts forever!) when I liked it more, so I’m stuck with Shape Tape for an eternity. A testament to why a person doesn’t need a lot of backups. You’ll find something else! I like CP concealer so much better. Covers things and is so lightweight and natural-looking! Anyway, to use up my Shape Tape, I’ve been mixing it with a drop of oil or liquid highlight, and using it as foundation. It’s been working AMAZING for me! You still don’t need a lot, even using it as a foundation, so it’s still going to last me quite awhile.

Sarah G I feel your pain. I don't like Shape Tape either. It looked awful on me no matter what I did so now I have a really expensive eye primer. Lol I refuse to throw it away because of the cost. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it, guess I got caught up in the hype. Glad you've found a way to repurpose it!

Sarah G i do the same with my shape tape too. I use it as a foundation or to spot conceal. Under the eyes it makes all my little lines and bumps way more noticeable! I seriously age ten years and also look like i caked on my makeup. Its just not flattering! I havent tried CP or makeup revolution but i really want to! Ive been stuck on maybellines age rewind.

I have such bad skin allergies with makeup, that when I buy something, sometimes it sits on the shelf way past the shelf life. Lorac & Too Faced eyeshadows. After Juvia's Place and even colourpop, I don't understand why I spent so much money for a formula that's not so good. Lipsticks too, I need to declutter. 2018 is a no buy for me because I just moved from my parents house and I need to save $, last year I bought soooo much makeup and now seriously I feel I can keep about 50% and be happy. I used to feel that I needed a makeup collection like a beauty guru, now I've been watching tons of minimalistic videos 😁

The Two faced chocolate bar palette. When I first bought this palette, I loved the colors and the quality. Now that I’ve tried more eyeshadow formulas. I just do not like the formula, and the colors are boring.

If anyone has shape tape and finds it too dry or cakey as concealer, try it as foundation, either on its own or mixed with a bit of primer. It's game changing! Stunning coverage and super smooth finish.

Ah, thank God! Finally, someone else who dislikes the "lippy" phrasing for lip stick, it's always reminiscent of a toddler, I agree! Lol, it has irked me since the first time I heard it. I've fallen out of love with makeup formulas many times, but lately I've displaced the majority of my makeup, so I can't think of any off the top of my head, except to say, as I'm aging (36), I dislike a lot of glitter on my skin. A lot of glitter formulas in eyeshadow in particular, just sit in my baby wrinkles I'm beginning to get. ✌ Amanda

I have decluttered my Naked 2 & 3, the Naked Basics because the got old and they didn't perform as they used to. I normally don't keep powder products for more than 4 years, even though I use them on myself, I keep them clean and disinfect them with alcohol. Also I've fallen out of love with two of my all time favourite foundations, the MAC Studio Fix Fluid and the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation!

Agree with the Naked palette and the Tarte shape tape... definetely things you would buy today because of their "reputation" but not for their performance at all. They are not bad... we just know better now :) Same with my Tartelette palette and my MAC shadows..

I went back to Nars Creamy Radiant after Shape Tape. For two tubes, I was over the moon for Shape Tape and then tried Nars again and was just blown away about how much better it was under my eyes. I'm not nearly as wowed by my Just Peachy Mattes palette now either, but I am sticking with it for longer.

I want to of the urban decay palette‘s which is the naked honey and the naked cherry. I love both of them a lot. I think the quality is wonderful. As a regular person I try not to buy a lot of eyeshadow palettes because I know when you have them for a long time the quality is not the same. I really have to watch myself and not get tempted to buy eyeshadow palettes because I do love them a lot. I love your channel Jen. couldn’t agree more with Shape Tape!! I’ve been over it for such a long time now. I have to mix the L’oréal Pro Glow concealer with another more matte one bc it gets to cracky on my skin. I was loving the Colourpop but now I am totally hooked on the makeup revolution. I’m at this point in my makeup collection where I just have so much untouched makeup that I am now really scaling back on what I buy. I’m in a major panning stage where I’m like I need to use some of this makeup to make room for others. Only thing I really have my eyes on is the Jaclyn Hill Vault collection. Idk what it is but I want that baby.

Hi Jen! Hope your travel is going well and the hubby and kids are having a fantastic journey! I bought the Tarte Tape maybe 8 months ago like many other things, never used it. I do like the UD NakedSkin for more mature skin. I have tried and bought many full sizes only to sit in my makeup room. I personally have developed deep lines around my eyes. I may need to check out the Makeup Revolution also, never tried any of their brand. I also have the TF Naked3 palette which is about 4 years old and may have used it 3-4 times. My very first palette.

I’m totally with you on the shape tape. It’s too heavy and it REALLY accentuates the crease in the under eyes area. I have been LOVING wet n wild photofocus concealer. It’s my all time fave and go to for now and it’s only like $5 (woohoo!)

I just went back to Shape Tape after trying out a bunch of new concealers because of the coverage. For some reason, my almost 50 year old skin doesn’t have issues with it. Best to only use a tiny amount, though!

Heather Elzinga I Agree. There is no coverage out there even comparable to shape tape! I have crepey skin under my eyes, with very dark circles. As long as you don’t use mass amounts and draw huge triangles under your eyes like the flawless 20 something’s here on KZbin, it’s fantastic. I make sure my under eyes are super hydrated and have found putting a tiny dab directly on my damp beauty blender and pressing it it in the skin works the best! I then spray my sponge with setting spray and press a little a more. I set with a powder LIGHTLY, but not directly below my lash line, where the wrinkles and lines are (powder sets in them and ages me!!). It creases some throughout the day but I have yet to find any concealer that does so minimally!

Believe it or not I don’t own any of the big UD naked palettes. I have the Naked2 and I love it & will repurchase it. I’m with you on the colourpop ultra matte lipsticks way too drying. When they first came out I purchased a huge amount but ended up tossing them. I’m a Mac lady 💕 The last product I fell hard out of love with was ABH brow wiz. I found a more affordable option that works just as good if not better. Miss ya lady!! 💕🌻💕

Dead on with the Nakeds! The Naked Smokey palette was my first "high end" makeup purchase. Though I enjoyed it for the most part at first, I found them hard to blend. After I got other palettes, I found that one to be so boring, I just gifted it to a friend of mine. She likes it "except that it's hard to blend."

I just re-homed some of my eyeshadow palettes, strangely enough they were all Too Faced palettes? I absolutely loved the Sweet Peach palette when I bought it, but I feel like I just know more about makeup and what I like/what works for me now. So that an another pallet went to a friend. Then I gave my mother one of their 9 pan neutral palettes that I hadn't touched in idk how long. Great topic for this video!

I have never bought any of the Naked palettes. I don't know why but every single time someone tried to talk me into it I was like nah I'll pass. I love the colors in that one with the pinks and purples but I never thought it would perform the way I wanted it to, and it was too expensive of a purchase for something that I wasn't totally sold on. This is pretty much how I feel about full coverage anything anymore lol I used to get so frustrated when my makeup looked so stale and cakey. Then I watched Samantha’s video where she showed her light coverage routine and ever since then I always mix my foundation with moisturizer and use all liquid and cream products. I don’t even use my pf butter bronzer any more and I loved that stuff!

For a while I was very much into the Too Faced Eye palettes and Lancome eye shadows. I still have all my palettes and products and I don't plan to get rid of them. But these days I am very much into Bobbi Brown skin care and make up. And I love the Urban Decay lipsticks and Backtalk palette too.

I hear ya on the naked palettes. I really don't even think a new one would make you fall in love with it again. I got the naked 2 last Christmas it was my first high end palette (with way to many to come way to shortly after) and I just found that the quality wasn't matching up to the rest of my collection. It's not bad... it's just also not good.

I totally fell out of love with my Eve Pearl beauty sponges. I tried them at MY first IMATS, and the following year, I HELLA stocked up on them. But once I tried the Beauty Blender brand sponge, I was hooked. Wound up getting rid of all of the unused sponges.

I stopped using Tarte Shape Tape around Dec. last year-Jan. this year. It was the same issue as you! It settles right into my pores and creases under my eyes. I guess my skin has changed since I started using it, which isn’t surprising since I had to stop using certain primers. I do keep it because I get body acne sometimes and it’s great for covering that up. I’ve been using Maybelline Age Rewind and I really want to try Colourpop concealer as well as Catrice concealer!

I have the Color pop Ultra Matte in Lumiere 2. It was one of the first liquid lips I ever bought and I still love it! It's a lightweight formula and I don't find it drying at all.

I'm the opposite. I fall back in love all the time with products. I got back out my Naked 3 a couple of weeks ago and I think I Iove it even more now. I've gone back to MAC Studio Fix Concealer or Maybelline Age Rewind. I need to get a new color of Born this Way as the one I have has oxidized and seems too dark when I try to wear it. I'm back to using my Laura Mercier Mineral Powder foundation this summer. I don't think I used it at all last year but the summer before that I didn't put it down. This year I'm pairing it with Dr. Jart+ Premium BB Cream SPF 45. Anyway hope you're having a wonderful summer.

But I change foundation shades like 6 times a year so I need a concealer with more variety. I am loving the Colourpop though!! I prefer the CP ultra satin too but frankly with the matte i just wear lipbalm under it and it still dries matte and is more comfy. They make a lip primer that is awesome tooo. Love CP

Anji L I use a tiny amount of farsáli rose gold elixer under shape tape and that helps a bunch. Sometimes I will also spray my sponge with tatcha luminous dewy skin mist.

I DO dislike saying lippie stix/sticks too hahaha I'm just too tired for hip lingo Naked 3 is my first palette and I fall in and out of love with whenever the mood strikes it. It's still such a beautiful and romantic palette and for me I kinda appreciated it a lot more when the makeup artist I commissioned used it on me on my wedding day.

I purchased a color pop liquid lipstick for my friends wedding. She picked out the color for all of her bridesmaids to wear. I tried it on and it was the most drying, uncomfortable thing I've ever worn! I turned to her and said "I love you, but I can in wear this at your wedding." We went with a NYX Slip Tease instead.

- - For the brides maids and maid of honor (me) she picked out the lipstick and eyeshadow, yes. It was a small wedding and I did everyone's makeup rather than hiring a makeup artist.

I hate using shape tape under my eyes too but since you already have the concealer try it as an eyeshadow primer you’ll love it.

The new Two Faced concealer is definitely coming for my Shape Tape (I may have to return the back up I just bought). It’s not that there’s anything wrong with the shape tape. It’s just that I find it very drying during the day and I have one crease it doesn’t play nice with and it will crack in that crease only. I know it sounds crazy 😜 but it’s true. What’s even crazier is I have the oiliest of skin types, so for anything to be drying on my face is a strange phenomena I never experience. LoL
