I’m feeling the 2017 impression for more than seven years now. With 120,000 miles on it, I’ve absolutely enjoyed each of them. Great video by the way. 👏🙌

I think the Mazda 3 AWD made this car interior look like it came 10 years ago... Is just a different league but with a price point that's not even that far from each other.
@corei643913 сағат бұрын
I mean, an extra $6k can usually make a significant difference regardless of the vehicle. If you have $30k+ to spend, then the Mazda 3 AWD is the better choice.

The Mazda 3’s exterior ruined the potential for the car because everything else about it is great.

I appreciate that you go the extra mile and state the reliability of vehicles. Many reviewers do not do this considering how important it is.

I really love the looks of this Impreza, but I really wish the RS had a manual and was given a 91oct tune to bump it to 195-200HP. It would then be much closer to the Si fighter many were expecting it would be. As someone looking for something that handles well, is in the 200-220HP range, seats 4 and has AWD, those 2 changes would have made the Impreza RS the perfect car for me. Instead, the closest to my wants are the Si, GLI and Integra. All of which sadly lack AWD. There is the Audi A3, but not a fan of the price.

Thanks for the review, nice to see a review of entry level cars. The 2.0 with a manual was fine for acceleration but the CVT really hurts it. Interesting to see if Subaru adopts the eCVT in their upcoming hybrid.
@Realistick14 сағат бұрын
I’m curious what they will do too. I think they’d have to use an E-cvt IF they’re going with a Toyota hybrid system (the hybrid max system wouldn’t make sense). Though I’ve heard that they are still going to use the Subaru awd system so that’s going to take some serious modification!

I love the twisting key on this! I really wish this feature was at least an option on the higher trims

Why though? The higher trims are already as expensive as they are.

Why does Subaru refuse to make this vehicle a hybrid?

They will soon.

cuz the crosstrek plugin didn't sell well. if the toyota licensed hybrid system in the new Forrester sells well, then maybe it will trickle down 2026 crosstrek, etc etc.

Great value for money.

The reason: cheapest awd new vehicle. Added plus to seal the deal: great mpg for awd gas only and relatively reliable if you don't push the engine.

Thanks, happy thanksgiving to you too! I’d probably go Corolla LE Hybrid AWD for the efficiency and added features but it would be a tough decision.

We purchased a base 2024 Impreza three months ago and are very satisfied with it. Had the Corolla hatchback still been available with a manual transmission, the Toyota would have been our first choice, but found that the Subaru’s transmission is much more responsive (for a CVT) and gives an overall much smoother drive.
@nyurkt2412 сағат бұрын
I really enjoy your videos kudos for reviewing the base model. Subaru needs a better transmission than that CVT

Reasons to buy a impreza: Best and reliable AWD, Practical interior, Low (probably lowest) insurance, and highest safety in its class, and affordable.

Front and rear end looks way better than the WRX. 6 speed manual will make the RS fun, turbo would make this a hot hatch.

Love your reviews but making headgasket comment feels like a cheap shot. It’s irrelevant in 2024. The EJ25 series of engine that had headgasket problems hasn’t been installed in a Subaru since 2012.
@economiccrisis926711 сағат бұрын
Instead of head gaskets, Subaru uses glue which is even worse 😂.
@Realistick6 сағат бұрын
I don’t like bringing it up either, I only brought it up to say that it was fixed and not an issue through the entire generation. Some people don’t know that and will comment it because this is a Subaru video and I mentioned longevity! I won’t bring it up next time to test the waters.
