As an expat living here in the UAE for 11 years, trust me when I say this guy is giving you the rundown on how millionaires live. Property here is extremely expensive, when you buy it then becomes very difficult to sell and if you think you are going get any profits, hahahaaa. Theres always new buildings going up, shody finishes, tiny rooms and shared ventilation with everyone living on your floor. So, if someone decides to cook a curry down the corridor, then guess what smells you will be sleeping with tonight. Temperatures range between 48-52 every Summer, that is from May until Oct, oh let me not forget to mention the 100% humidity that goes with it. And if you think you will work a 9-5 job, thats even funnier. Forget about increases too, maybe one every 6-8 years and probably 8%. Dont romanticise any place you wish to live, do your homework and research well. It is beautiful here but please come with eyes wide open. Rent and schooling are THE most expensive tickets here, dont fool yourself. Not to mention Digital ID from the moment you land, you are watched 24/7. Why do you think theres so little crime here? Big brother watches everything.

After seeming photos of the lovely Dubai Marina on Nomad capitalist video I went there when in Dubai to have a look. Wow, what a shit hole, run down, vacant shops, not nice at all. Traffic is terrible - it’s not a liveable place. Dubai is like a lady boy looks good from a distance but close up 🤢

Isn’t it a better idea to have a business and wealth and maybe just go to Dubai a few months in a year , because if you are an employee they can seize your passport , make you sign if you leave for a vacation they make your coworkers sign a contract to ensure you comeback by deducting their salary, give preferential treatment to Emirati employees and plus it’s too hot in summer.

There's some horror stories of people in high paying jobs, whose emerati employers go bust and stop paying salary and now the employee is on the wrong side of the law because they have bills they can't pay. Jail in dubai makes jail in the west look like a resort.

Dubai is incredibly safe and well-run. Just spent time there in December and have been going since 2004. It is depressing to come back to dysfunctional Los Angeles that is overrun with homeless and bad management. If the UAE Sheikhs were permitted to come to Los Angeles for a year to turn it around, it would be the diamond of the United States. I wish they would. It is going from bad to worse in a hurry. Western societies are in real trouble. If the Dubai model is replicated around the world it will be the new global standard.

I have been in both multiple times. It's the usual you can live for very cheap in both. Quality of life depends on your needs and preferences, for me l, I like nature, Miami offers much more quality of life.

@davidrichards1741 nope. Had no issues here. Turn off your TV. If you haven't left the US by now it's too late. You have to make almost 500K-900K to live life in the usa on retirement. Who the heck wants to live in a place with that cost of living? I'll stay over here and I've been abroad almost 3 years now. And if you don't believe me there I'd a retirement chart that came out for the whole world and usa was the worst on the list and Europe.

The UAE/Dubai continue to commit serious human rights violations, including arbitrary detention, cruel and inhuman treatment of detainees, suppression of freedom of expression, and violation of the right to privacy. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) continue to deprive stateless individuals of the right to nationality, impacting their access to a range of services. According to Human Rights Watch, the UAE detains those who criticize authorities, including hundreds of activists and academics, and Emirati laws discriminate against women, migrants and LGBT individuals. Flogging and stoning are legal forms of judicial punishment in the UAE due to Sharia courts. As a result, the UAE routinely ranks near the bottom of many international measures for human rights and press freedom. So if money is all you care about, then by all means live in Dubai/UAR. Just keep your opinions to yourself and you'll be fine.
@tank-slushy4727
@tank-slushy4727 11 ай бұрын
Yeah. The only problem I have in The UAE is how strict the nationality law is. Stateless people born in the UAE are denied a nationality, and children of Emirati mothers and foreign fathers aren’t automatically Emirati citizens at birth either. The worst part is that it would be very difficult, if even possible, for such persons to obtain Emirati citizenship later in life.
