While it's frustrating, it's important to think about the reasons why this has become more of a toxic topic for people. Honestly, just do some research on wealth inequality in the UK and the trends over the last few decades. Go and watch some talks from Gary Stevenson. It'll become unbelievably clear. I've so far resisted the urge to "hate the rich". I believe in entrepreneurship, but even I find myself thinking sometimes... What if there is such a thing as too wealthy, particularly when so many are struggling? Big shout out to some of the wealthy doing their bit to try and change that, though, like Simon Squibb and others. Instead of fleeing the country, they're trying to lift people up. More of that is needed.
@eddierussel5911Ай бұрын
The thing is why rich and wealthy leaving the country is because after BREXIT many highly educated Europeans left and companies were struggling to find cover... @Christoff8188 I left 2 years ago. Best decision I made and managed to dodge the cost of living crisis completely. Supply and demand only work in a free market, which we haven't had for many years, thanks to fractional reserve banking. A flood of sellers won't have a significant impact on house prices because houses are driven by mortgage lending, not cash buyers, and lending only pushes up inflation because lending is how new money enters the economy. Nothing scarce backs our currency, not gold, not oil. Not even paper anymore ! it's all just exponentially increasing digits on ledger ! An Expanding Money supply has the same effect on currency as share dilution has stocks. It devalues the £ it's not house prices going up, it's the £ going down and that's never going to change until its back with something of true value.

I'm not a billionaire (obviously😂) but I'm moving to Dubai at the end of October. I already have several friends that moved there in 2010 and others more recently. At this point, you're paying the highest premium for the most subpar services and product by living in UK, especially in London. Nothing works, nothing is efficient, nothing is quality and everything is overpriced. You're basically paying for the privilege of living in one big historic landmark. Terrible healthcare service in terms of waiting times even if you go the private healthcare route, they tax everything, just to drive they want you to pay for driving in certain areas, no parking, high levels of crime which kids running around with machetes in broad day, you can't even wear nice things or live in nice areas because you'll likely be targeted or wake up to find your car is gone, I have several friends that have had high value vehicles stolen and/or broken into, emergency service response times are absolutely disrespectful considering this is supposed to be one of the leading nations in the world.
