Oof, I'm torn between 2 people atm and don't know what to do. My ex and I had a miscommunication and we talked it out and cleared up the misunderstanding, but before we cleared things up, I did go on a dating app and found someone who I immediately hit it off with on the first date and had a wonderful second date with too. The new person is very inconsistent at communicating because their job is very demanding. We have the same communication style and we are compatible in a lot of ways when we do finally talk/meet up. Yes, my ex is an ex for a reason but mainly because he never got his life together, he always treated me well and was a good boyfriend. Even as exes, we've remained really close. He's looking for a job and wants to get out of his parents house, but it feels almost a little too late. Especially since we dated for 3 years and known each other for 4. I'm torn, do I go with the person I'm more compatible with and has a really good established career already, but may not be there when I need him, or do I go with the person I already know and wait even longer for them to get their life in order, but will always be there when I call? And side note: they are both 28 and live with their parents due to their folks having health issues.

I say go with the guy you're compatible with because yes you are right he is a little too late. Plus even if you decide to go back to his ex, what if he repeats the same mistake and you will just get hurt again. Also he is still unstable with life at the moment. He doesn't live on his own, he barely gets a job. He still needs time to collect himself together. You can still be friends if you want but he needs time on his own to be himself :) The new guy sounds great and has everything you want so take that chance girl!!! ❤❤

I’d say the guy you’re compatible with, if the only issue is that person having a demanding job I’d say that can be worked through especially since they’re great at communicating when you meet up.
