I don't want to sound mean, but no. If you want to do a fast five... do it. Please don't pass the buck to this guy. it's bothering me. He's too... soft. It's like listening to a cheesy narrator for a child's cartoon talk about the extreme violence of dog fighting... which is what he is doing. When you are going to be cynical, be cynical. Want a good example, give me a call and I'll throw some cynical facts your way in a tone that is appropriate. This just felt like a "hey guys... humans are bad. Am I right?!? Gee golly, dog murder. Come on! Pet your puppies for us! Hehe!" I don't usually comment on KZbin, but I love the channels you host, Simon. Your team does a great job fitting excellent information with dark facts into a relatively short video. they are all entertaining and enjoyable. Until this one. Am I saying I can do better? Hell if I know. I think I have a shit voice... but I know I wouldn't take the tone of the show to Mickey Mouse levels. Lastly, the fast five should be just that. Fast. I believe they should be 5 shocking facts, run through in a quarter of the time your TopTenz videos run. Shocking. Not ridiculous ways animals went extinct... surprise! Humans. All of them. The format is great, but I can't handle the narrator... Just sounds like someone who would narrate a low-budget nature documentary aimed at kids (think Strange Wilderness). Just sounds really immature and makes me feel like I'm getting dumber, rather than learning a little.

Some people may not like longer videos, but for me, the fact that you take the time and effort to make such detailed lists with in depth narration is what marks you guys out from the thousands of other cookie cutter list/countdown/tens channels out there. I used to subscribe to a dozen toplistoftencoundowns channels, but I unsubscribed because they were all the same dumbed down format. Top Tenz and today I found out are the only ones I'm still subscribed to because they are a cut above the others.

I know I am late to the party, but this is the first time I have ever seen a Fast Five from TopTenz. I don't hear anything wrong with this narrators narration. I quite liked this format and the speaker. I think people just don't like him so much because we all love Simon so much. I trust Simon and I like to hear his voice. Simon speaks with authority and a sense of knowledge so we all trust him and well, we are just partial to Simon.

Simon does indeed have excellent pacing with his comedic timing and his tone ranging along points that are dark, cheeky, and snarky; all of which are complementary with the subject matter and well paired with his authoritative British accent. I would love to see a longer format current events show with Simon Whistler as presenter.

Scottish farmers are very well known for poisoning the very rare birds of prey that are commonly set free there just because they're scared the birds will kill their sheep, so hunting a very rare exotic marsupial wouldn't be so far fetched

If you're gonna call it "Fast," you should really keep up a more accelerated narrative pace. Simon's intro was fast, even for Simon, and the difference when the other guy started up was like having someone suddenly turn out in front of you from a stop sign at a cross street along a 70mph highway, and then just putter along at 30 like you don't even exist.

You guys release videos at an amazing rate so any extra videos has my vote. I think the time of the video is fine. You value giving as much noteworthy information as possible for each fact hence the length of the normal videos. I find channels like List 25 say a lot of facts but don't give enough information for each. I think you would prefer the format now then cutting out too much just to lower the time. These videos will be fine with Simon or another well spoken narrator if he is too busy. Big fan from Australia

The Cordoba Fighting Dog is the base for the Dogo Argentino breed, so I am glad they existed. I love my Dogo. But yeah, as many mentioned, it was not its own species. Still, having a breed that descended from the CFD, I was happy to see it on this list for some reason.

it was more than one cat wiped out the wren tho - where ever we stupid humans travle to theres always rats and mice on the ships - so ships always had cats on. both the rodents and cats escape and one queen can produce enough kittens to decimate an islands animals. st stephens islands lighthouse keeper brought several cats with him for his family and rodent control - tho the wren was easier for them to catch! because of what happened to said bird no lighthouse attendents were allowed to take cats with them. it took years to clear all the cats off the island - so it was not just Mr Tiddles that should get the sole blame!
