The landing "Touch and Go" landing. Is because they are practicing landings. Landing can be one of the most important skills to practice in an airplane. This is also done if the landing doesn't feel right to the pilot. Maybe they are too far down the runway or going too fast.

Suggestion for you... Increase the volume on the video we are watching so that it matches your microphone volume. I commonly watch on my phone, and find it very hard to hear the video, while your microphone volume is perfect. When the jet fighter did a touch-and-go, they might have been practicing for carrier landings in case they miss the trap.

1:41 that is a U.S Recon Helicopter Drone, it was built to detect its opponents and also meant to be a radar on air for troops to see and keep track of hostile troops, it wasn't used that much though, they mostly used the UAVs for better detection in some way and try to get better targets if I'm correct. To answer your question about the letters referring to the U.S. Navy names. The letters represent what mission type that aircraft has. It is as follows: A-Assault, B-Bomber, C-Cargo, E-Electronic Warfare, F Fighter, H-Helicopter, O-Observation, P-Patrol, S-Submarine, Anti-, T-Training aircraft, U-Utility, V-V/STOL or Verticalo/Short Takeoff and landing. The numbers are the series number of that aircraft and the letter after the number is what modication package it is. I am A U.S. Navy Veteran and had to learn these.

Small correction - A is for Attack as it relates to aircraft designations. It's the common designation standard for all US military aircraft. When it cones to US Navy ships, an A at the end (as in LHA) stands for Assault (as in Landing platform Helicopter Assault). At the beginning, it means that the ship is an auxiliary (as in AO for Auxiliary Oiler).

I believe the only time US Navy Aircraft Carriers launched bomber aircraft was during the Doolittle Raid on Japan in WW2 . US Navy and USMC aircraft that drop bombs are designated as Attack Aircraft .

In carrier landings, the pilots have to be real quick about getting back up to flying speed to retry a landing, hence why the pilot never slowed down. If the US military released all the info concerning the classified kit on its military equipment, no country would ever dare try to attack any US base or the homeland.

US Marine here. They barely scratched the surface of our capabilities. Just know that we have the resources to defend our people, and any direct conflict with us would be met with overwhelming force. We have some really cool stuff... but I truly hope we never have to use it.

The Phalanx / CIWS air defense system. That has been used on U.S. ships for years now. Has also been adapted too be used by ground forces. Is mounted on a lowboy style Simi trailer. Is essentially the same gun. That is used in the A-10 Warthog Air craft. In which it's roll is as an anti tank weapons platform. Basically when you absolutely have to have something filled full of holes. Or want it to closely resemble Swiss cheese. It is the weapon of choice.

This is wrong. The A-10 uses 30mm rounds. The Phalanx CIWS shoots 20mm rounds. The only similarity between the M61 Vulcan and the GAU-8 are they are rotary autocannons made by General Electric. They shoot different sized rounds, the Vulcan has 6 barrels to the GAUs 7, and the Vulcan can be driven by more methods than the GAU. I would agree the GAU may have used knowledge gained from the Vulcan in its development, but they are not the same gun. The dutch do use the GAU in their Goalkeeper CIWS.

The 3 seawolfs are badass subs though. One of them could savage an enemy fleet. Each boat has 8 torpedo tubes and they have the ability to silently launch torpedos at low speeds, they can dive very deep. 1 of the seawolfs, U.S.S. Jimmy Carter is much longer as it has a special hull section for berthing and launching special forces, divers, and Unmanned submersible vehicles. It is a special projects boat, which means it can do some very special things to collect intelligence.

The touch and go you just saw that pilot do could be for multiple reasons although judging by his armament/load-out, he's probably practicing landings while still fully armed most likely with dud armaments so if something goes wrong there's no big boom. The practice landings where they touch and go are usually due to cost savings. Much like in your car on cruise control, it saves fuel to just touch and go for another practice run instead of slowing down and taxiing for another takeoff. Rule number 1 in the Navy: if you're ever wondering why an operation is done a certain way, ask yourself if it saves the Navy money, and if it's possible that's the case, then it's also highly likely one of the correct answers.

We don’t really use the term kit but when/if someone does it is usually referred to clothing or carried equipment. Not that it really matters but I find the terminology difference interesting. I am currently in the navy as a fire controlman (in charge of the weapons systems and radars systems attached to them) as a spy tech and I truly believe the strongest weapon we have is the CWIS and the best thing we have as far as defense and offense support is the AEGIS Spy system (a little biased because that is my system) it’s range is crazy and support all the systems we got! Highly recommend you lookin into those things if wanna see the true gravity of our superiority 😮‍💨. Great video!!!

The Phalanx is one of my favorite defense systems. Definitely one of the US militaries best creations. Its success rate for shooting down missiles is ridiculously great. When it's shot at night time it looks like a laser beam or a melted metal chain due to how fast it fires.

In the late 1990s the air force retired their radar jamming aircraft the EF-111 spark 'vark. Having no replacement aircraft, the air force merge their personnel with U.S. Navy EA-6B prowler squadrons to create composite squadrons. In 2007, the Navy replaced it's 4 seat EA-6Bs with 2 seat EF-18G growlers.

Seahawk is a naval version of the Blackhawk the army uses. The main differences are the tail wheel is moved amidships so that the tail of the aircraft can be made foldable, the rotors are foldable. The U.S. coast guard uses versions of the Seahawk as well.

I believe they are saying that the missile can check out it's target before impacting it, send data and analysis back to the launch platform (i.e. the carrier or aircraft) and be instructed to hit a different target is that one is already destroyed.

The Virginia Class SSNs absolutely ARE a bargain! One well-handled Virginia could sink the entire Red Chinese, or, North Korean fleets without breaking a sweat. They are, without a doubt, the deadliest, quietest boats sailing the seas. In fact, it is said that a Virginia Class at 20 knots is quieter than a Los Angeles Class tied up at it's berth.

That is called a "touch and go". Pilots do them when getting their flying hours in. It simulates both a landing and take off. They can do many in a row to get their hours in and keeps them from having to stop and start the engine. More efficient to do touch and go's than to do actual complete take offs and landings.

You can not shoot people with the laser. We have a treaty that says you can not shoot at people with a 50 cal or above. You can shoot equipment . A helmet is equipment and so is a web belt as well as any guns you are carrying.
