one of my self-care habits (or rather a mindset change) has been accepting that sometimes i can only make small steps towards my goals, and not beating myself up about how much i get done-1 step forward is still further ahead than i was yesterday!

the one about physical activity really hit me... i am also very into mental health and caring for myself. and i try to eat healthy because i want to care for myself physically. but then why do i not make exercise a priority? why do i think of it as something difficult and boring and why do i hate it so much? it's time for me to start embracing it and finding a way to care for my body that is easy for me to do. thanks michelle!

You just need to find the exercise/work out that you enjoy. A lot of people are turned off by the standard 'gym' image, so find something else! There's loads out there, maybe a club to make it more fun?
@whoisappie
@whoisappie 5 жыл бұрын
I have tried many many different kinds of sports in my life and I know for a fact I don't enjoy 99% of them. And that's okay! The only thing I ever really enjoyed and sticked to for a couple of months in a row was yoga, so definitely picking it up real soon.
@binturong00
@binturong00 5 жыл бұрын
@@whoisappie Sounds like you already found it! It's definitely okay to not enjoy most. Back in my school days I refused point blank to take part in the sports during P.E. that I hated! But even something as simple as walking a mile a day can have great benefits too.

I think that meditating, eating healthy fresh vegetables, having some sports in moderation , going out to nature , sleeping and rising early are all ways for relieving stress and healing depression ... Sure , I am talking about normal cases that do not require a psychiatrist... Plus good karma and unconditional spiritual love transform and transmute lower frequency emotions into higher ones of peace , unconditional love and blissful ecstacy...

I’ve implemented the Gratitude list since you mentioned it some weeks ago. It has been way more beautiful than expected. It helps me to slow down before sleeping and to release negativity (bc it makes me see bad experiences, regrets and angers as less menancing). I am also discovering parts of me I didn’t know they existed. Ty, 💞

I had exactly the same experience with the secret!!! My maths teacher back when I was in school made us watch it and write notes about it... despised it since then. However, I love the practical and introspective approach, that I believe is lost in this over-praising of visualization, that you gave it!! I will definitely try it. You have no idea how much you have improved my life since I discovered you back in April. Thank you. truly!!

I really appreciate your comments on the law of attraction, especially since it seems like more people seem to believe in it than not these days. I remember watching parts of the Secret and feeling like the movie was trying to get me to join some cult lol. Tbh, I think it's bs. I think that if you believe you can achieve something, it is more likely that you will, not because there are magical forces/the universe working in your favour but because you will try your best and you will keep trying until you succeed. If you think you won't, you won't give it your best shot then just give up. If you think you're having a bad day, you're just going to look for things to prove that you're having a bad day. Sorry for the essay haha. Great video as always 😁

I wonder if you could do an updated breakup video, in regards to being content on your own.. I’m struggling horrendously after a long term relationship came to an end due to being dumped, I don’t know anything about myself. No routine etc everything’s up in the air, and my confidence is in the drain since I was left (i believe for their high school ex who cheated on them multiple times) So years down the drain for that to happen.. though he says they’re just friends. Please help. I know so many people are experiencing this, and it would help me & so many. Much love

Bella your years aren’t down the drain, I know it seems like it right now but in time the lessons and experiences from this relationship will pay off in future. Give yourself grace and prioritise self care right now, to start getting to know yourself again start taking notice of your thoughts through meditation or journaling. Sending good thoughts and good vibes your way 💖💖
@Miracle4missing

Katy McDonald its the weirdest thing, such a drastic change in regards to everything, living space, eating, activities, spare time, conquering loneliness, lack of friendship due to neglecting it!, even down to the fact I get no notifications makes me feel horrendous! I literally don’t even know what comforts Me anymore, sadly like many others I made my significant other the whole cake, rather than just the icing. I feel like such a fool. Thank you for your response it means everything right now x
@jenrich111
@jenrich111 5 жыл бұрын
Ask yourself - will you ever take him back after being dumped? I hope the answer is: Hell NO! So you must purge him from your life. Every stupid card, every cutsey bullshit stuff even clothes that remind you of him or events. Move! If he walked out you should move. You must create a new identity. It's all about you now. Your relationship with yourself will always last. You will NEVER abandon yourself ! You can always rely on yourself. Depending on finances, move, buy a new matress, new clothes and shape a new identity. What a jerk! You deserve better than him but dont try to replace him with another male. Ask yourself: who am i? What do I like? What do i want in my life? Then plan to work towards your goals. You are stronger than you think.
@katymcdonald5481

Bella I was in long term relationships for my teenage years and my early 20’s basically a whole decade. I didn’t know who I was and I still don’t know what comforts me. I have learned that valuing my time and space is really important and sometimes being single offers you an opportunity to reset, refocus and curate your life. Don’t underestimate the power of girls nights out, bubble baths and binge watching Netflix... it’s called healing x

I've also never liked affirmations. I have, however, grown to really like afFORmations, which are basically turning affirmations into a question you ask yourself. The goal is to answer them, honestly, and ideally by pinpointing choices you've made or even future choices. You can write your own and tailor them to your goals, priorities, and focus areas. Ie, "I have an abundance of health" seems delusional for someone making bad health choices to say, but asking yourself "what kind of decisions do I make to increase my health, and why am I confident that this will lead to an abundance of health?" seems much more honest and useful (even if it's "today I tried a new vegetable, and I know that trying new foods and recipes will eventually lead to a healthier diet as I replace all my current meals with ones that are both healthier and enjoyable. It's a long process that I intend to enjoy without pressure, with pride, and with the knowledge that this is my new life and identity").

I love love love this kind of videos, like self growth and self improvement. Really loved it ❤️ Also I deleted Instagram about 3-4 months ago and Facebook 3 years ago and I don't miss them at all. I have more time to do other things but I actually switch from Instagram to pinterest but this was actually a healthy decision. On pinterest I made some boards so when I open the app a lot of new inspiration comes out and I always find my self inspired and motivated to do so many things. While Instagram was dragging me down because of self comparison and the fear of being judged from others, pinterest is bringing me positivity and motivation. Really suggest to delete instagram and Facebook!

Can I just say that the reason why affirmations can have a negative effect on some people is because the affirmations are too unrealistic? When you're really insecure about yourself and you write down "I feel really confident and I love myself deeply" as an affirmation and you read that everyday, it's not weird that it'll make you feel even worse about yourself :( What did work really well for me was to make smaller affirmations to allow yourself to grow into feeling the way you want to feel, for instance: "I feel a little more confident everyday" , if you repeat that everyday there's probably a higher chance that it will actually make you feel more confident! (Just a tip, I don't want to offend anyone!) ❤️
