I love your sense of humor and comedic timing lol, but I honestly was really excited by the title since I've been building up my solo gaming collection lately. Mostly a lot of games that are cooperative, but have an option to be played solo, so it's nice to see games made to be played solo entirely and I really want to try Dorf and Northwood! Also, I was right there with you on the childhood thing lol. No one wanted to play Monopoly or Risk with me so I just played multiple characters to see who would win.

Not a channel regular by any means, so this is the first I've seen of Emily. But I like her, she seems like a good fit for SU&SD. The "Oh, NOW you do it!" towards the end, when she clicked her finger and the game magically appeared next to her made me laugh more than it probably should have :)

man everytime it looks like SUSD is verging even slightly into losing it's edge they pop a wheelie, rev up a ramp, flip and fall onto their face and get up and bow and run at the ramp, this time on foot and succeeeding on foot, and leaping off the top of the ramp to freeze frame in eighties success pose. Fantastic vide, love emily, funny, witty, both expanding and fitting with the SUSD vibe beautifully. All my congrats again gang.

Yup. Nor do they care about your feelings. Yeah, I should not feed the troll, I know. Sex and gender are different things (and unless you or me are trying to date her this is none of our concerni). As is grammatical gender, and use of the general masculinum form, which encompasses all sexes or genders (unless in western Norway, where thie "masculinum" is the utrum, that is used for anything non-neutrum, and we don't have a femininum form). I'm so glad for the Swedish construct of 'hen" (meaning I don't care, could be either or, not relevant). I f' ing despise the apparent political correctness in other languages....

If Emily has appeared on the site before, I am disappointed that I missed it because she is knocking it out of the park with this one. The video has that smart-fast-talking vibe of early SUSD episodes, but with amazing editing and a darkly humorous theme throughout. Stuff like the neat trick when the RESIST board sets itself up shows a great amount of effort for such a small moment, but it really does add so much to the video. And then doubly happy about the topic of the video, since solo games and puzzles are some of my favorite "chill out" hobbies.

I agree! 80% of my gaming is solo - I do love playing with other people but other people are way less available to me than I am. Plus I genuinely enjoy my solo games, I can play what I want when I want, I don’t need to think about other people when I buy new ones and I can take my time making decisions - what’s not to love? And it’s hard to find entertaining/funny reviews of solo games so Emily’s first vid was perfect for me 😊 I hope she does more! For any other solo players out there who like jokes in their reviews The Grouchy Nerd is great - I especially enjoyed his review of the Black Sonata which makes me chuckle every time I pull the game out to play

OMG, Emily is such a PERFECT addition to SUSD! So witty punchy, her timing and delivery are just perfect. I watched this with my SO, and we had to pause and rewind like a dozen times - we legitimately had to stop laughing so we could actually hear her. "I often get described the same way"... we just lost it. She's so rapid-fire... by the time you stopped laughing at something, she's already said 3 more hilarious things. Emily fits the SUSD vibe so perfectly. I sincerely hope all that "England" talk was a hint that she'll be joining the gang IRL for some vids and podcasts. The chemistry would be stellar.

I was on the fence initially, but you convinced me. The jokes were funny, the games were interesting and also very well-explained. The editing is very clean cut, some comments say that the video is too fast but I didnt feel that at all (which I do feel with some of Tom's reviews though, love you Tom). Laughed out loud at the northwood finger snap call back at the ending, that was very smart and I love how little attention was payed to that. Welcome Emily, I look forward to seeing more videos by you, its such a shame you cant be on the same videos with the London trio but I'm excited to see what happens next.
