Hello Chef Makinson, I like to make sandwiches, but only if the steak is too big to eat in one sitting. Otherwise, I eat it similar to how you make it, maybe not as good as you. Yours looks very elegant. Thank You I am a big fan.

This is awesome. I never, ever thought about trying out some Spanish dishes myself, but those look like a great substitute to whatever snacks to throw on plate for parties, and the croquetas? you made in another vid look terrific
@ChefJamesMakinson2 жыл бұрын
You can make Pinchos for parties they're very easy Croquettes are more laborious they will take a lot more time and then there are many other dishes like gambas Pil pil if people like shrimp and many more!

I could see the first combo (jam, goat cheese, caramelized onions on bread) as a panini or fancy grilled cheese sandwich. Thinner goat cheese slices, of course.

Here in Finland gravlax is very common on bread. There are some different opinions on how to make it. Some like 50:50 salt to sugar but I use more salt to sugar. I kind of eyeball it so I don't have a recipe for you :D Of course black pepper and lots of dill.

Do you do anything to the bell peppers or do you simply slice raw bell pepper?
@ChefJamesMakinson2 жыл бұрын
They are piquillo peppers that are usually pickled, they are very sweet you can substitute them with normal sweet peppers.

Arrrrrgh, no, never remove the fat from the jamón! In Spain, the fat on jamón is highly prized and considered a key part of the flavor experience. When in Spain, embrace the fat!

Kaixo, I would like to explain some things about Basque pintxos: 1- Pintxos, not pinchos. Sounds like a spanish word but is basque. 2- Pintxos are a basque portion of food that they sell in the bar. You pay for it! 3- Pintxos are not tapas. Tapas are for free, they can be sophisticated or not. And are spanish. In the basque country don't give you tapas as long as you pay for the pintxos. 4- For non basque people to call basque pintxos spanish is like call haggis an english plate and not scottish 5- Congrstulations for the work done. Nice pintxos. In the basque country people is proud of having that gastroexpirience and when we see people enjoying it, is the best. 6- Sorry for my english!
