Yes, many horse blankets! In Canada, it is important to keep the horses dry when it is cold, so they don’t get sick. I have different levels of thickness for different temperatures! ✅

We had Siamese cat. But she dies 2 years ago. She was a smart cat, friendly and sweet. She live 16 years.

That's a fine looking barn and your descriptive tour around gave me plenty of thoughts that I've never really "thought about", mostly because I grew up in city. I have been in a few barns over my many years and have always loved visiting the country side. My wife can't understand why it is ; that I actually like the scent of animal farms as we walk or drive by them(except hog farms). Your daughter's own horse stall is so cute , with her toy horse feeding inside. The "rescued" barn cat is also cute and appears quite happy with its second chance at life (just like our dog, Chevy). A beautiful destiny for all. Interesting story about the gravel perimeter, and it certainly makes perfect sense, just curious didn't you heed the original advice to do that? (the extra cost would be my guess). Nice video.👍

Thank you for your very thoughtful comment. Yes, I find barn smells comforting as well! I’m thankful my husband grew up on a farm too, so he isn’t offended by me smelling like barn too much 😆. It’s amazing what lovely pets are available for second chances, and as you know, it is a blessing to be the second family! You’re right about the stone- cost was my reason for not doing it right away. I had done the front and one side, thinking it was adequate, but it was not. All set now though. Do you have plumbing in your barn

We absolutely do have plumbing, just cold water. I believe it’s regular pipes. As for the insulation, the feed room is fully insulated (that’s why the water is in there). The barn itself is not insulated. It’s not good for the respiratory health of horses to be too warm. There is special ventilation that allows air to flow from the sides up into the centre vent in the ceiling. The barn does get warm from the horses body heat though when it’s cool out!
