using the fude pen in the wet ink gave an awesome looking tree, using the non waterproof ink with water I had never thought about that they just became useful lol and the stamping for Inktober I have tons of stamps I think I actually have all the ones you showed today how strange lol. I love your white rabbit signature stamp idea soooo awesome and the stamped tree looked cool, at first I thought WHAT and then you added the colour/ink and then it looked fabulous. Inktober/ink techniques video I have seen so far.

Anne-Laure, you don’t need to buy a new acrylic stamp. Go buy something called “Magic Erasers” They come in a box in your cleaning section of the grocery store. At least here that is where they are. They look like big white sponges. They will make plastic palettes white again, and the3y will clean permanent ink from your acrylic block without scratching. Don’t use any soap just wet or dampen the sponge.. They are great. You can also cut them in thin strips and use them to lift paint from your watercolor paper. Watch how artist John Salminen uses them. Happy Inktober!

Hey Sharon, Thank you so much for the tip!! I always wanted to try this with watercolors and never did so now that's a new reason to buy some an try for real!! I wouldn't have thought it could work with waterprook ink but this product seems really strong!! I added it to my grocery list. 😁 Thanks again! 😊

Wow!! I can watch you do artwork all day long! You can draw so amazingly! I love all your techniques and suggestions. I definitely really dig the wet on wet techniques with the ink. But I just love watching the movement and flow most, whether it be ink or watercolor. It fascinates me. You landscape with ink you did that you would show bits and pieces of it quickly was breathtaking! Where did you learn how to calligraphy? Do you have any suggestions or tips on how to calligraphy or how you do your lettering? When you watercolor your words and interchange color, I would love to know how that’s done. Everything you do inspires me. I cannot pic one thing. I really liked the ink that came out with the “cooler tones” of the more blue hue to it. But I also like the more warm tones of the sepia look to it. I happen to have that same exact Alice and wonderland stamp set!!! Isn’t it so fun?! I love to stamp (I really like a waterproof pigment ink I use on my watercolor papers (versafine black pigment ink), and then to watercolor. I’m not gifted in drawing ✍🏻 like you are so wonderfully gifted. So stamping images and then coloring them in with watercolor is really fun. Since I cannot draw, I tend to never draw anything when I watercolor, but when I choose to stamp an image (when I’m making cards and envelopes ✉️ to send via mail), and then paint 🎨 the background or stamped images or whatever... it’s fun. I cannot wait to try and save up for the ink and pen 🖊. I would have never thought to paint wet with ink. I really loved the whole video, as I do all your videos. I’m not always able to comment. But I look forward to watching you inspire and create and paint, paint, paint!! 🎨 🤗✍🏻🎶💗🙏🏻 thank you!

Thanks a lot for such a passionate enthusiastic comment Scarlett!! 😃 ❤️ 🤗 I am so happy you like the videos so much and I can inspire you!!! 😃 I had a really short (like 1h or 2?!) edged calligraphy course a long time ago and, for the rest, I guess I learnt by myself. 😁 I started practicing a bit more lately to try to get the feeling of modern calligraphy. 😊 I have been thinking about offering a video about calligraphy for quite a while so I will probably do in the upcoming weeks! 😊 Probably some with the pen and also how to write with the brush. It's on my list but I added the thing about changing the color, as you suggested. 😊 I like to do this indeed so it will be nice to include it in the video! 😃 I like that, like me, you can't pick one thing and you like it all!! 😝 😃 😅 For the channel, though, I always fear some of my videos could seem annoying for some people who wouldn't be interested about this or that topic... Or, even, if all kind of artist subscribe for the diverse content, but they would get bored when I offer a watercolor demo... 🤔 That's a tricky something !! 😅 But I guess, you can't please everyone... So I may please the most the artists that like a diverse approach and putting all the creative things together... ☺️ That's funny that you also bought the Alice stamp set! 😝 😉 I am sure you could draw if you like. It may not be excellent right away but you could find your style (not so realistic) and improve !! I have always considered that drawing if not my best strength (it's not) and that what always "save me" is my sense or colors, value, maybe also composition... But I improved quite a lot during the past years, so you could too! 😌 😘 See you, and paint paint paint!! 😁
@scarlettHischild6 жыл бұрын
Following the White Rabbit I think that is a wonderful idea! You making videos on how you write calligraphy with your own and paint brush. I literally am interested in ALL your content and videos, so I will never tire or “bore” of your vids... but I understand trying to be as inclusive and accommodating to your audience. At the same time you are correct you cannot please everyone. So do what makes you happy and interested, and the rest will fall into place. I think what you do is so is so wonderful and you have the most fabulous approach in explaining both visually and also how you articulate specifics in such a universal way. Your positive personality alone radiates through, so I highly doubt anyone can get “bored” with your videos even if what you choose to show that day isn’t of particular interest... but I find you a joy to watch and enjoy learning from you... so it’s a biased opinion. 😜😏 I do feel if I really practiced I could become tolerable in my drawing ✍🏻 attempts. The. Idle where you show the very first attempts at art journaling and how quickly your drawings progressed was so amazing! I’m definitely going to do what you suggest! Thank you! I will attempt to take a little more time to practice drawing ✍🏻 a little more. 🤗👍🏻🙏🏻 I look forward to seeing you in another excited adventure of painting 🎨, camera 🎥, exploring whatever. Have a wonderful day my fellow sag! I bet the leaves 🍁 changing for Halloween 🎃 time will be amazing where you live to paint. 😘😊👻

I should try a nib calligraphy pen. I've got all kinds of microns, markers and brush tip pens but I still want to get a cp. *sigh* Maybe sometime this inktober. On a side note, if you have erasers you can carve your own small stamps (always cut away from yourself when you are carving rubber), and you can make foam stamps easily just cutting out shapes and drawing into kid's craft foam. :-) Cheap fun stamps ftw!
@FollowingtheWhiteRabbit6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jill!! Haha, yeah, we always want something more!! But diversity of the gear brings more creativity to our work, probably?!! 🤔 😁 Yes, I sometimes cut some stamps in some erasers, that's cool, indeed! A few years ago, I created some with abstract geometrical patterns, more like tiles, you know?! I liked it. 😊 Maybe I will start doing this again, thanks for the suggestion!!

Loved all the techniques you shared! Cant wait to give it a go. If you've never tried Elegant Writer calligraphy markers by Speedball, the effects you can get are quite amazing. If you brush water on the line, after marking, it bleeds out in blues and pinks too, not just black.
