There are a million extremly exclusive brands and cooperations that have wanted to work with their artist. @@bekcha4170 I think it's more about control. The top boss at YG...is Yang Hyun Suk. He always has been and never stopped for a moment being the top boss. (I know many very naive people think that he wasn't the boss when he stepped out of the spotlight during the scandals of 2019 and afterward. But he never stopped being the top boss.) Every indication is that, although he obviously loves money, there is one thing that he absolutely cannot stand: Not being able to totally control the artists under the label to the extent that they have to think of themselves as his employees, who can lose everything immediately if they displease him. If they get too big, too famous and too rich...YHS loses that control. If they make too many connections with too many powerful artists and companies outside of YG, he can't control them easily by threatening to end their careers. His ego can't take the loss of control. It was the scandals and the failure of the new boy groups to reach Big Bang levels (after he had spent years and 10 times more investment in them than in Blackpink) that created a situation where the company had no choice but to invest more in Blackpink and let Blackpink get to level they are now (as basically the "can't afford to lose" group that has kept YG in the top ranks of Korean entertainment companies during the past 5 years). I'm sure YHS is not happy with the current situation now.

I've accepted as a casual fan that YG treated them like this "rare and exclusive gem" and yes it did make them very popular, but I think it's really hurt the girls in their personal growth. If the company had treated them better, they probably would have stayed with YG not only for Blackpink schedule but also for their solo activities. I really hope this growth that they will get with their individual activities will leach in and help their group growth and make them even better performers.

I believe yg is the reason they became famous and are in a position they are in today. Their training, tactics and methods, though too strict, controlling and stressful, worked for them initially. Now that they are in a position that they can sustain themselves and participate in as many ventures as they want, independently and away from yg, they should and are doing it.

Black pink are still in yg for there music career but I am very sad to know as a blink that they want to release more song for their lovely blinks but they can't 😢 I am happy that blackpink is now having the freedom that they want Lisa , jisoo , Jennie ,roses l am very happy for all of my girls. They are going to release music as a group also and also doing other activities as a soloist the,now jisoo can do more k-dramas Lisa can attend more fashion shows and also perform more dance videos as she love to dance we have seen many dance videos of dancing in other shows that definitely represent that she love dancing but yg never let happen Rose has the best voice and she can't even sing any song as she wanted to we all can know how love for rose for singing was so true. jennie as one of the members who loved dancing and singing l'am pretty sure that she wanted to collaborate with other artists pretty now Jennie perform as we know from the latest news when Jennie sing I am miss Korea her voice was epic as jisoo love doing kdramas we also know how she like singing as she came from a family who love music. Now next is baby monster guys we have to protect baby monster they can't have the same treatment as 2ne1 and black pink etc It's true that blackpink have a very nice voice they can sing without autotune but why yg always tell them to perform with autotune that's why haters got the chance to mock blackpink that they don't have a very nice voice . The truth is I think yg love the attention of media that's why they did this media plays for Koreans and international fans now as every member can have their freedom and now they can make a full album and also do their group music with yg l'am very happy for my girls I am going to support all of my girls at any point 8:08 ☝️❤❤❤❤❤

I wouldn't be surprised after their group contract expires they go the Black label. Teddy has proven to be a great CEO. Plus with black label trying to cut away for YG ...only time will tell

All of these stories of mismanagement are criminal. How will YG stay in business? Based upon their behavior now, it looks like they haven’t learned anything and their behavior has not changed. Taking into account both the Korean entertainment industry (and business in general) and YG's history 🤔 I just don't buy into the the idea that YG restricted their artists to be "exclusive" but as a form of control. Restricting their activities while under those exclusive contracts can be used used against arist rather it be control or retaliation 😓 in short limiting appearances and refusing to put out songs & music that have been made & are ready to be released makes it clear that the restrictions are ment to put the artist in their place 😒.

Brooo for a company that should be reputable for accepting only the most luxurious sponsors they sure are unprofessional and unreasonable.... You'd expect BLACKPINK or other iconic groups under YG Ent. to have better management and direction considering they'd utilise a kpop group to the most they can but nahhh they would rather be stuck up and fumble everything (also where's the money going to wtf? gambing? debt?). Even after all that BLACKPINK still managed to become one of the most popular kpop groups in the world. I'd hate to be in a company that would make me do the "sit still and look pretty" type of shit for 7 years. It's no wonder why the members became more lazy due to lack of motivation. ALSO HOW COULD YOU REJECT IU????? USHER?? EVEN BENNY BLANCO WHO WRITES THE MOST ICONIC POP SONGS IN THE WORLD?? ETC. Istg this company probably leads children into trucks with candy like how they trap young teens into unfair contracts to control them. Anyways I hope to see more songs from the members and hope they are happier now they are (more or less) restricted. AND MORE COLLABS PLSSS!!
