2012 Veloster none turbo with stick. Horn chirp is very terrible especially if your in front of it. I did a custom short cold air intake but its not actually cold, it shot because its pulling from the air engine compartment instead of from below the bumper. So not sure why they call it a cold air intake. Anyways, I di da custom double filter with a K&N and drilled 1 inch holes through the fake plastic grill inserts just under the hood. SO the faster Im driving the more cooler air that forces straight back into the air filter and into the engine. Its not much but it helps. then I did a custom job on the muffler. I had a Magnaflow that was oversized welded on so it got a few horses from that. It also has a deeper more masculine sound. I kept he original look on the outside because I want it to look like a regular Veloster. Then I threw on some good tires. Tires are the single best improvement you can do. Good tires = good traction on turns and from dead stops. less time spinning your wheels or breaking.Now lets be clear, im not racing anyone except maybe a Yugo but with my slight improvements I get some pep and on the Toll road to Austin from San Antonio I hit 130MPH. The limiter never seemed to kick in but I wasn't gaining anymore speed significantly at that point got back down to regular speed. Had I kept going who knows. This was with windows open so aero dynamics were also probably not the best.What else what els? Oh, so threw in a 1500w 4 channel amp and ran the factory amp front speakers over to it, then put some alpine sin the doors up front and ran a sub off the back channels. Then left the back speakers which I put some pioneer in wired to the OEM amp. So I get really good sound and base. The sub is a 10 inch pioneer in a low profile box. It really hits when I want it too.I also threw on some transformer metal emblems on the hubs and on the sides by the front fenders. Have had them on all of my cars since 1999 before it was cool. lol :DDid blue interior lights all around. Also put a secondary battery running in tandem with a capacitor for the audio system so no more dimming headlights or power drains. The second battery is about 1/3 the size of the original and I was able to squeeze it in perfectly between the OEM and the firewall with no additional modification. I also updated the firmware on the head unit to 5.1.49 so it has more Blue Tooth compatibility. Ran an AMP fan to keep my AMP cool which is under the drivers seat. So I made all these easy and small changes. It has good pickup and go when I need it.If you want to remove the delay when you shift and accelerate with your manual then you can unplug the little harness on the back of the clutch pedal. What this does is disable the assist that the car does when you manually shift. It lowers the revs on the trans and delays the engine so you can shift more smoothly. However without it it wont have this delay but your shift will be rougher so do this at your own risk. Also it will no longer tell you when to shift up a gear on the dash when you disable this. The benefit is you don't get that 1.5 second lag when you shift and accelerate. I did it for a while but decided im not racing anyone so I didn't need to disable it. That's it. I would like to get a custom pulley driven super charger but who has $5000 for me? No one? well there ya go. Had I had the budget I would have gone for the turbo and gotten the full NAV package with backup camera but oh well.I got into the head unit and found its run by windows CE and all the hardware is there for XM, GPS navigation but its disabled unless you get blue stink (blu-link). Alright so yeah, what I would change or hate? Doesn't come with spare tire donut. Back up camera should have come standard. Audio system was crap till I upgraded it. lacks power and yes, those vents are stupid however there is some guy that sells actual working vents for a ridiculous price.

The new 2018 will have a 2.0 L or the 1.8 Turbo. Later this year they will bring us the Veloster N 2.0 turbo!!! All the 2018 versions will have rear independent suspension, that will be very cool. Can’t wait to drive one!!

I got the 2017 nonturbo. Like it so far, acceleration and the horn. Electronics and cloth seats are going to be issues in the future; Bar in the back blocks visibility for no reason. But it is a nice sporty hatch. Fun to drive around and good for urban streets with its size

I know what you mean about the power! I had fest driven one and as soon as I got in I loved the interior! but the second I got on the freeway during the test drive I knew this car was way too underpowered! Maybe the turbo would be nice though. keep up the good work on your videos!

I got the 2017 n/a and the exhaust and horn are pretty standard sounding for factory, also with the dual clutch transmission on a 2500 lb Frame it’s no Supra but it’ll get up and go decently. I thought the 13 and 17 were basically the same with a face lift but maybe not?

basically you are talking about the asthetics of the vehicle. But the reality is...and I bought one too...exactly like this, is that it is an unsafe vehichle. There are way too many blind sides. You cant see the hood while driving and it feels like you are driving a tin can down the road. You hear every noise the car makes. The actually locking sound is louder than any other sound the car makes including the horn. Terrible car. I do have to agree on the Turbo version. I drive it first and loved it. I wanted a white car and the guy who sold it to me said I didn't really need the turbo since I was an older woman and that it was for younger guys. He had a white one and right then and there...like a dumbass I bought it. Yes! Without driving it. He said it drove the same and I believed him. It does not. The turbo is smoother, sleeker, of course has more power, and rides higher because the tires are wider. This little thing I have has tiny little tires that already busted on me twice.

Just drove this exact car today. LOVEd the looks, yeah except for the fake hood vents. But the motor is so anemic, I had to say no way. It is a fake sports car. With a turbo, I bet it rocks tho. Hope the turbo gives you a better horn than that dead duck call. Got an Elantra limited instead with less miles and less money and a ton more features. and oh yeah... a bigger engine and better power. Sure, I blend in with all the other mouth breathers on my commute, but who cares...a fake sports car is only going to make you stand out from a masturbating 15 year old with a bmx bike and an Xbox.

Ive a same version of veloster since 4 months. Mine is just red. Its a remix 2013 one. Honestly my horn is not as same as yours. My horn is peep one which i really hate but it is a lot better and real sounding horn, no offence but yours look like it needs to be repaired or changed. even your exhaust when you start up the car. I think its more of your car thing not the entire velosters!!

I have a Turbo and my interior is amazing. Black leather with Blue leather trim on the seats, blue trim on the door, console and all blue lighting. Your judgment of the interior is way off. The most lackluster interiors still have silver trim in all the places I described.

LOL -- you don't have the turbo model... Nor do you have the ultimate package so the comfort on the inside is not going to be as nice. The exhaust - it's a 4 cyclinder non turbo lol, who cares?? New exhaust will make it sound worse especially w/o a turbo. I have my 2014 turbo up to 312 hp and 301 torque to the front wheel (s). The horn? Really grow up. The hood scoops aren't functional, but they don't bother me. The turbo model of this car is a great car. I can fit myself (6'3'') and my wife with daughter in backseat with no issues. Just the right amount of power not to get you into trouble, handles well, brakes are great, wheels are super cool, GPS, Blue tooth, Pandora, heated seats, the back seats fold down in case you need room, this car has all the bells and whistles for a great bang for the buck. You went the cheap route, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend test driving a TURBO model of this car.

heres 1 thing i hate, theres a y in HYUNDAI its not hunnday hahaa but the warning buzzers are louder than the exhaust. but it is only like a 1600cc some lawnmowers are bigger. that being said but its a very reliable engine the 1600. Dude, buy some FISA twin tone horns off ebay or walmart or one of your awesome american stores. they look like snails. very easy install.
