When I first saw one of these cars, I thought it was awesome. I didn't realize it was an economy car until I researched more. Honestly, though, that made me like it even more. For a daily commuter to and from work that gets good gas mileage, the Veloster is perfect. I would personally buy the economy version, but I am glad they are going to offer a performance version. That way, everyone can get what they want.

Emme, Great job, as always. My wife got this car 2 months back and absolutely loves it. She got the Canadian versions that comes with keyless entry, headed seats, rear view camera and sensors, 7" display for 18500. what a great value.

Drove both the standard 1.6 Elite (Ltd) and then the Turbo in matt gunmetal and wow what a difference the Turbo makes. Fantastic, loved the manual transmission.

Man, ever since my friend showed me his car (obviously it's this one), i've been dreaming about these lol. From a practical stand point, this car is hard to beat. Amazing gas mileage, it's fairly roomy, plus i like the fact that it has three doors. I hope to get either a 2012 or 2013 within the next two months or so. Update: i got thr car in 2015 I believe. Still have it. Thing runs like a champ still and super great on gas. Only complaint was the ac knob burnt out. Was able to replace it myself for 150 dollars. Other than that, I recommend it.

Alix Graham yeah. THe one i got is a 2013 that had 29k on it. Got it for 15k with a lifetime warranty on the power train. I'm loving the car. I get 400 miles to the tank before i decide to fill up and it'll only cost me like 25 dollars max to fill up.

I love my veloster I own a 2012 model fully loaded model bought her brand new has 115k on it only thing I had to replace was the struts so far

Joseph i paid around 18k when it was new and my brother bought his for 8k recently as for reliability it's up to you I use it as a all year car including winter mind you I live in Canada so snow gets very deep and I'm able to drive through it with ease while my friends ruck gets stuck

Joseph quality wise I also quite like it mostly only piece I don't like is the rear camera it glitches out sometime on me and I kinda need it cause of the blind spot it has with the rear pillar

Joseph it goes 600-700 kilometres a tank or 400-450 miles depending on how I shift and use the gas costs around 40$ Canadian to fill the colour on mine is a metallic blue with silver rims like the one in the picture except the middle part of the rims are blue

Besides that it was good! I really like how it looks, especially with the bigger wheels, but they only come with an automatic. I drove a manual and it was actually kind of fun. Definitely felt light around corners and the power for around town isn't that bad with the manual. Like most the reviews say it does lack feel in the steering but overall it's a sweet little car.

if your looking for a "three door coupe", Mini has already done this. Base trims for the veloster and clubman, the veloster wins in hp. But if your looking for more power with seemingly more room, go for the clubman with the "S" or John Cooper Works trims for 180 and 208 hp respectively. It'll be interesting to compare the two more fully if the veloster turbo is actually released.

I test-drove the car and as ex owner of 2 tiburons I was quite surprised how modern and exciting this car was to look and drive. Can`t wait for the turbo - maybe I will go for the oval H emblem again :)

Is there any kind of blind spot out of the rear right passenger area? I have a Civic Del Sol that has a little blind spot when I make a left hand turn and look over my right shoulder to see if any traffic is coming. The Veloster looks like it might have a similar issue with blockage in the rear right corner...

I've driven the Volester and the lack of power had me walking away from it. I'm waiting to drive a Turbo... IF I can find one. Very, very difficult to locate one. Hyundai needs to crank up the presses and get these cars out here! Also, I've read and viewed many Car Reviews before. First time seeing this girl. She is GREAT ! Most Auto Gearboxes, in manual mode, will change for you if your revs are too low or you hit the redline. Its hardly a problem, its just a safety measure to keep you moving.

Bought this car same as tested in this video except red w/ red/black interior and manual transmission back when they first started selling them and it's been great. Pick up is desired but it's comparable to my old car so it doesn't bother me. Part of me wishes I could have waited for the turbo that has been confirmed, but I do have to say the steering and handling are great. This car fit everything I wanted in a new vehicle and has been great so far.

They said it actually doesnt have much of a blindspot out the rear window, the window glass sits a little lower. Try driving one, but yeah, my 02 Civic the rear window was to high above the trunk, not to mention the hood was to low, later they made a different hood you could actually see looking out the windshield.

If you can't decide between a 2-door and a 4-door. Get a 3-door! Too bad about the sunroof not sliding all the way back though. The side windows seem a bit small as well, hindering side visibility, and Emme looks pretty tall

Remember, the old Hyundai S'Coupe, Tiburon? Those are those econo-sport vehicles. Now, the Veloster's another with the emphasis on fuel efficiency. With the Turbo coming out next model year, add performance.

Yes, great styling. Yes, great engine. I like the blacked out B pillars too. But I like shifting my automatic, so that's a bummer about the automatic. The thing about a new car, though, is if it doesn't fit, I won't buy it. That's why I'm still driving my Kia Cinco after 10 years. It just fits me so well. First and foremost, the car has to fit.
