ASD (lsd) is perfectly fine for trucks that are mainly used for daily driving and lighter off road driving. It’s good outside of big rocks. E-lockers are great for serious off roading. The Anti-Slip helps in all sorts of cases that you should NOT engage an E-Locker for. Like snowy/slushy roads, loose dirt or stone. I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve needed my rear locker in my JK Rubicon off roading in the Adirondack Mountains in the Northeast, and I’ve never needed the front locker. Most people buying a Rebel aren’t going to be doing serious off roading. It’s likely going to be a daily with weekend warrior duty.

1. Push the gear down button to get to 8th gear. That disables MDS, i do that until i can afford a tuner for my 2016 2. 2018 4th gens have apple car play 3. I spoke with a Ram rep and the lack of ventilated seats was because of seat material. Supposedly leather is best for it, the vinyl is best for cleaning. 4. As far as the air ride, thats why i never pulled the trigger on the BDS lift, i am saving to install Icon coilover kit, love the air ride but i overland my rebel and im scared of breaking down in the middle of nowhere.

Got the 4" BDS lift for my 2016 Rebel w/air suspension. It took nearly a year of diagnosing and nearly 10k... But my air suspension is (knock on wood) working correctly now. I refused to give up it. It's too useful a feature and spent too much time/money to say rip it out now. Replaced x2 bags, the compressor, diverter valve. And haven't had a problem since. Luckily I'm in a position to funnel the bill through my business. Lol cause that out of pocket expense would make me reconsider.

I loved my 2016 rebel. Up until winter. Air rides freeze up and the truck is virtually undriveable. Even if i store it in my garage. While I'm at work it freezes. Currently looking into just getting rid of the air rides or sadly trading it in.

About the MDS and not being able to turn it off if you haven't come across it yet you can turn MDS off by putting it in manual shift mode you have to turn knob ship selector on the dash you have to do it with the steering wheel shift buttons put it up to eight and MDS is off. Only sucks that you have to do it each time you get into vehicle

I have a 2011 Ram I paid $6,500 for, it has the, cooling seats(I really can't feel a difference) heated seats, heated steering wheel, also power sunroof & power rear window. I love it but I would like to get after market air suspension. I know I'll probably regret it. My question to younger people is, why not buy a bit older vehicle for a lot less money. It sounds like the newer ones are a lot of trouble & Expense?

My 2018 4th Gen Rebel has Apple Car Play. Not sure if thats a Canadian only thing? My big “hate” is the leather option comes in all black only, not available in the red/black. I love my red/black interior, just not a fan of the vinyl/cloth seats.

Does anyone know with the Ram Rebel if I can add either 2 inch blocks or some kind of lift for the rear ran with the air ride suspension for towing?

It will throw off the height sensors. You would also need to make custom adjustable links to account for the lift.

@Wimya Жыл бұрын
You would think an off-road package even one not meant for high speed would at least have locking diffs, sway bar disconnects, or skid plates. I’m not hating on the Rebel and it’s deff off-road capable but it’s hardly a real off-road package imo.
@HeyMavDak Жыл бұрын
@@Wimya It comes down to weight. The more components added the worse it would be as a truck. You should see how terrible the payload is on a Longhorn.
@Wimya Жыл бұрын
@@HeyMavDak my brother a fully loaded Rebel weighs only about 200-300lbs more than a gladiator rubicon which is a full blown off-road package truck. My TRX also weighs a lot more than my Rebel did and is very off road capable. Also the power wagon weighs a lot more. Overland rigs are very heavy and are built for slow off-road / rocks. The weight isn’t the issue I’m sorry.

@@Wimya I just recently purchased a 16 Rebel. Clean truck 17x9 method wheels, 35s, carven exhaust, level links. The air ride is neat but worries me as well. I got a 5 year full coverage warranty. I will use that to cover the cost and repairs. Once that is up, conversion will probably happen
