I was in my local camera store on March 31st looking for something else, and ended up getting the GX9. The clerk said it was the last one in the store, and that they wouldn't be getting any more. I heard that Panasonic is getting out of the Micro Four Thirds business, or maybe just the compact camera business. I ordered two more lenses in addition to the 12-60 kit lens that came in the box, and those should be arriving tomorrow. I ordered the Lumix Vario 12-32mm f/3.5-5.6 and the Mitakon Speedmaster 25mm f/0.95. I'm hoping to get a really small and fast prime lens for pocket carry, probably the Lumix 20mm f/1.7, if they're not all sold out by payday next week.

good video! I really like photography I have an iPhone 14 pro and it is very good to have the pro raw mode to edit my photos in lightroom, I am interested in the lumix gx9 that you have, I want to take the step to a photo camera, do you think I would give a quality step with the lumix gx9? Then I would like to know if with the Panasonic application to transfer the photos to the iPhone if it does so by transferring them in raw to directly be able to edit them on the iPad in Lightroom. regards

Yes The GX9 is a good option if you can find one - Yes it has an app, but you can only transfer jpegs :)

Thanks for the video! I love my GX9 as well, but for me it doesn't make sense to use those big lenses with the GX9. You already mentioned "almost pocketable" but that's out the window using your excellent but big lenses. I deliberately chose the tiny pancakes (12-32mm, 14 2.5, 20 1.7) as well as the still tiny 35-100mm tele. And to my experience, those tiny and cheap-ish lenses are definitely good enough. The big glass goes on the G9. Only thing I hate on the GX9 is that it has buttons literally everywhere and you have to adopt a certain way to hold it without inadvertently changing some settings. And this is also the very reason I don't like big lenses on this camera. Holding it gets awkward because the balance is off.

Pretty happy with the GX9 as my new camera but I - so far - totally failed to connect it to my PC. Could you do a guide on how to do it?
@grantrobertdavies2 жыл бұрын
awesome - how are you trying to connect to your P.C? usb cable?

Completely agree that the flip down screen is so much better than the fully articulating one for us still photographers. Also the wifi and the app. Brilliant. I tried and gave up using the crappy Fujifilm app when I had my X100V but the Panasonic one is so so good.

thanks for the effort and the sharing. what iso are you comfortable pushing this sensor to whether on the G9 or GX9? 3200? 6400? thumbs up!

The Panasonic Image app is cool for remote operation, but for transfering images I find it unusable.
