I'm 61 years old and this spring got my bike driverslicence and I bought a The CBF 1000A of 2007, obviously my first bike. Everthing on this video is correct. The bike is easy to ride, but has all the power to compete with the big bikes. I's very useful for tracking holidays with my friend (also on a bike) but in for instance in the Dolomites, she likes to ride with my on the bike. Also a perfect bike, enough power and smouthly.

I know what you're talking about. Im riding a CB500 (my first bike) and Im in the market now for an upgrade. During my ownership of the CB, I realized that I love touring and I was looking for something more capable to get up those mountain roads and something more comfortable for the long days in the saddle. On paper the CBF 1000 F ticked all the boxes for me, but It always looked so boring in the pictures, that I never seriously considered buying one (because looks are somewhat important to me too), until I saw one in the flesh. I immediately fell in love with it. It's such a beautiful bike. It oozes quality, durability and craftsmanship. I was amazed and can't wait to own one.

The CBF will definitely give you the comfort and performance :) I brought it around Scotland last year and it was absolutely brilliant :) Yep, it's a funny bike that it does kinda need to be seen in the flesh to appreciate it's lines etc. Best of luck with one when you do pick it up :)

I'm 71yrs of age, last May, 2023,i sold my TDM900 and purchased a 2007 CBF 1000 with panniers and top box with full service history, 31000 mls, for £2350.Wished I'd bought one of these years ago, absolutely love it. I've had BMW over the years, but this bike is the tops!!!, one thing I do miss is shaft drive, but I can live with the chain. Thank you for a great review.
@TheGorillaBiker11 ай бұрын
Congrats on the bike :) Shaft drive would definitely make sense for the touring part of it, but the chain is light and gives a lovely power delivery which I feel shaft drives of that era may have made a bit more clunky :) Glad you like it and best of luck with the bike :)

Flaws for me: Rear suspension can be a bit "gigedy gigedy when cornering hard and i thought I may have been slightly in the light side but you mentioned something too. And with alot of city driving, short shifts/ low revs tends to bring in a slight bit of slap when taking off form standstill but clears out after a good run. I have the mk2. (FA). Personally I couldn't cope with the looks of the mk1. But the mk2 looks so much nicer in my opinion. Still not particularly handsome though. But ok. I used to have a ZZR1200. Took it to LeMans. With my mrs in tow on her cbf1000. On race day she decided she didn't want to ride to the circuit but go pillion with me. We went on her cbf and it felt like heaven after riding all the way down there on my zzr. It was nice and light and smooth and quiet and soooo easy to ride and manoeuvre. I decided to buy one myself. I got the last of the line. The GT With full luggage, heated grips, lower fairing and sat nav. I can't stand the look of a top box. I keep the paniers on because they carry more and actually look ok too. The top box only goes on when i really need the extra space. I have to say i could do with another bike with a bit more character and torque when i feel like a good blast with my mates but i would never get rid of the cbf. I love it too much.

Top boxes and saddlebags/panniers are super useful for us riders. Especially when you don't own a car :) I've been monitoring my bank account for activity, and the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles cashed the cheque that I sent them to pay for my replacement title, so they've started to process my paperwork (4-1/2 weeks after I'd mailed it to them. It's now 5-1/2 weeks, total). I figure about 3 weeks-ish before I have a cheque from the insurance company. The theft agent assigned to my case has everything ready to go and will authorize payment as soon as they get my bike's title & keys. There is a local insurance agent of theirs who might be hand-delivering the cheque to me, too, so I might not have to wait for the mail on it. I've narrowed my choice down to one of three bikes that are listed for sale. The winter bike prices are making them get snapped up quicker, but I'm after one model. There are 10 of them listed at a few dealerships up in the Portlad area, and I've honed in on three of the bikes, starting with the least expensive. So I should be back on two wheels within a month, and will have a new motovlog on the same day as I get my grubby mitts on it. :) I can hardly wait to do be able to ride again and do my own "5 Things I Love/Hate About My Bike" motovlogs! :)

@@TheGorillaBiker thanks for that mate .cant ride sports bikes anymore and it looked like a good allrounder for me and the wife for touring
@TheGorillaBiker3 жыл бұрын
No bother! Ah it's a great alternative, I've just been to Scotland on it, did about 1600 miles or so in 5 days and it was brilliant for it. The only thing I would say is the stock shock is terrible, I replaced mine with a Hagon.

@@TheGorillaBiker thanks for that .how is the power with two up with luggage,im not a speed merchant but its nice just to have power with a passenger
@TheGorillaBiker3 жыл бұрын
Loads of power. I weigh two people and had camping gear and all with me and barely had to leave 6th, and I'd be fond of some speed 😂

does it have self-adjusting valves?
@TheGorillaBiker2 жыл бұрын
No. Almost no bikes have that.

Cmon, peek Rossi vs peek Marquez? What Rossi did in his first year on the Yamaha was unique, no one thought he would come close to a championship, the crushing of Biaggi in Welkom
@TheGorillaBiker4 жыл бұрын
That's a fair point actually. Shows just how long he's been around. I think it's an unfair comparison anyway as those bikes were sooooooo much less polished. I know the current Honda is apparently a handful but nothing compared to what Rossi has to wrangle back then! You know I'm a Rossi fan 😂😂 Marquez is...fine 😂

Is it hard to adjust valves?
@TheGorillaBiker3 жыл бұрын
I haven't done it yet so I have no idea.

Shims under buckets so a job only for someone with top notch mechanical ability, needs checking/adjustment every 16k😎

Everytime I'm on your channel I screaming my at myself to get a bike but then I realise one problem bloody insurance is like 2500 - 3000
@TheGorillaBiker4 жыл бұрын
Insurance is no Bueno starting off. What bikes have you tried tho? The likes of cb500s and sv650s etc are cheap enough depending on age! And once you have the no claims it's cheap then! My 3 bikes are cheaper than 1 car for me. By a good chunk!

Мотоцикл очень сбалансирован. Bandit 1250 мощнее больше момента , но в повседневной эксплуатации это напрягает, практически использовать его возможности не получится.
