In my utmost humble opinion. What he also does impeccably is utilizing his kicks as bridging techniques to follow up with same side strikes, many kickboxers criticize or downright discards these concepts as it makes you susceptible for low kicks( and indeed it’s true if not applied correctly) but, if you have the comprehension of tactics/ distance management as well as the sublime proprioception that Yair applies( A fighter at his level is aware of this) so he learns the form but seeks and adapts to formless. I think the only way Rodriguez wins is something insane and completely out of the blue. Something like his backwards up-elbow that KO'd Korean Zombie in literally the last second of a fight that he was losing. I'll be really surprised if it happens though, Volkanovski is just too good to be walking into crazy shots.

When I throw my rear round kick to the body, I often turn my knee over too far and it ends up with my knee pointing at an angle slightly towards the ground. Could this be a flexibility issue or something? Any help would be appreciated Thanks

I never expected yair to get this far after his win over zombie. Against zombie he lost the entire fight, than zombie tried to get the finish in the final 10 seconds and yair landed a crazy elbow ko. I thought he would fall off cause he kinda wasnt able to beat zombie.

You could see that he was setting up that elbow the entire fight though. It seems like now he's honed in on his skills a lot more.

@@robertgreen8046 Yep he even tried a spinning elbow multiple times. Its clear that he trained it to counter Zombies blitzes however that finish he did not train that pward elbow was pure creativeness and a little bit of luck.
