Peru was never a dictatorship like Venezuela is. Peru had struggles early 90’s for sure but Venezuela has totally collapsed.

How long can a foreigner stay in Peru?

I think it's always 6 month, I was in Peru, Lima, Iquitos.

5:00 I never heard of anyone being hostile when they see others fleeing genuine negative situations, as opposed to hordes of Albanians and Nigerians coming to Western Europe, pretending they're "war refugees".. Venezuelans come to work, and do not ask for Peruvian gov for welfare so - 2 completely different situations. I reckon Mr La Rue is referring to cost of american schoolling in Peru. That would require paying western prices on education. I say it based on (quickly-researched) pricing on private classes, for instace. I am also glad we all agree recycling is very expensive. For that exact reason nobody should be forced to do it.Once techlogy makes it viable - we probably will.
