Another great episode by Curt. Just my two cents, if you use American Express card, you dont need to use full coverage in the DR. American Express member are fully covered as long as you use their card to rent.

Good information to learn, but I'm not ready to drive in the DR yet. I have seen multiple incidents with motoconcho's in and around Sosua, Puerto Plata and as well as the unpredictable drivers. I have driven in most major cities in the U.S. and won't do it. Plus, I want to tip the bottle a bit, relax and not worry about driving. I have a couple of drivers I deal with that know the roads and twists and turns. A couple of my friends rent cars when they are in town and have achieved a level of comfort I have not. I will share the video with those brave enough to do so lol.

Hey buddy...I will be there next year for about 12 days, so I'm thinking of renting a car for my entire stay because I dont want to deal with the Uber drama. How difficult is it to get an Uber at 1 or 2 am? And whats the daily cost for a small vehicle from one of the well known brands?
