This is most helpful Chris. I used the advice given on this video to prepare for a recent event I attended where the dress code was `smart casual'. As an indicator of what to wear, it means all things to all men, and doesn't it just! As my preference is to be on the smart side of casual, I decided to be a little bit different and opted for a proper self-tie bow tie colour coordinated with a double-cuff shirt, navy blue blazer and appropriate silk pocket square. Showered and wet shaved, with my trousers pressed and gleaming brogues, everything came together nicely; I wasn’t over-dressed but I looked the part, felt the part, and that boosted my self-confidence. To my surprise, I even received some positive compliments for making a sartorial effort, proving that what you wear and how you present yourself can make a big difference to how you feel and how others perceive you.

8:38 I really like your different socks! They stand apart from plain coloured, 'boring' socks, mostly in dark colours!

I love wearing something a little different to funk it up a little, but this does depend upon the nature of the look you want to achieve. For example the socks I use in the example is a more business casual or casual look, but if it was a more formal business look I would use more muted coloured socks, similar to the colour of the suit or trousers worn. Glad you enjoyed the video and was inspired by the socks 🙂
