It gives me so much hope hearing you say that Lucy was mouthy and is as well behaved as she is now! I have a 13 week old named Luna and she’s the most unbelievably great dog other than being so mouthy!

My GSD mix is 4 now and she is still mouthy! I always tell her no bite, but when she's excited, she always just goes into everything mouth first. Especially when I'm rough housing with her. She grabs my arm with her mouth.....I usually shove my hand or arm further down her throat until she realizes, ya ok I made a mistake here. Still though, so hard to get her to not nip at people.

I enjoy your videos. I have had several GSD and have a new pup now. I’m training her for search and rescue. I take her with me every where and socialize her with humans and other dogs every chance we get. I live on 40 acres off grid in the wilderness so think it is important to associate her as much as poss. Shasta swims like a fish as well. Goes underwater to fetch her tug toy. They are one of the smartest dogs in the dog world.

That “snobby” attitude, that’s GOLD! Means she’s neutral, that she looks to you for everything. (Except the being with other awesome borks, when she probably just lets the guard down just a little). Awesome advice! On my way to get my 8 week old next week (driving half way across the country, but...).

I wish we could have gotten our Shepard when she was a puppy. We rescued her from my sons family. They were way to busy to have a dog. She will be four in may. We've been working with her and knowing she never had really any training. We're retired and she is a full time job. Lol. I have marks allover my arms from her mouthing. I was at my wits end. Never in all my years of owning dogs have I experienced this type of behavior. In her behalf it was my sons fault. We love her soo much and we've only had her since thanksgiving and has come along way. We are also finding a trainer that's great with shepherds. Thank you for your videos. Oh she is an American showline

Remi the GS will be making his first trip to the beach next week, thanks for the heads up about that. Your other points are spot on, Remi definitely performs much better on walks and being out in public when he plays hard prior to either for a few minutes to take some of the hi octane edge off. He is also very picky about who he plays with. If he is playing ball with me, he will ignore everything else on the planet. A hike in the woods is an absolute must for a GS, their noses are working triple overtime processing all the new smells.

Hey yeah Lucy had diarrhea a few times as a puppy. they will pick it up from time to time. use Black hawk puppy kibble for the first 12 months. You can also give him pumpkin, white rice and chicken breast when he has diarrhea to help get his tummy better
I just surprised my husband with a new GSD puppy on Jan. 1st. I been watching a lot of potty training videos to help my husband out with the puppy when hes at work. Can you recommend some stimulating activities for me to do with him so hes not biting cords and cable lines in the house? Hes about 11-12 weeks old.. I love his hyperness but i wanna be able to put it towards something that he'll thrive with..

Mine is 1 and a half and he isn't into strangers or being petted by them (if they ignore him, he ignores them, he just isn't interested). Some strangers don't seem to believe me when I tell them this though and so decide to stand there staring him out (while telling me I'm wrong because they had a german shepherd when they were 5 so know ALL about them), which to any dog is a challenge, then I get told that my dog is vicious and I'm a bad owner when he barks at them. I mean I've told you to go away, the dog has told you to go away - JUST GO AWAY. 🤷♀️

I have noticed a lot of people calling themselves Christians lately on these programs. Of course, you are only a Christian if you believe in the Trinity, that Jesus is the uncreated Creator and 2nd Person of the Trinity, and that whoever doesn't accept Jesus is God and died for the sins of the world, rose the 3rd day, is going to Hell. That's the gospel.
