I threw away my microwave...now have a toaster oven that warms...toasts...bakes...and broils!!

If you are doing bread only, it only takes a couple seconds to warm up. They must of left theirs in for 10 seconds or more to get it that hard.

My daughter tried to hard boil eggs in the microwave in the shell in a plastic bowl with water. She set the timer for 10 min for two eggs in a cup of water! They exploded like gun fire. Never ever get the smell out of the microwave of rotten eggs. She was babysitting for my sister at the time. I made her buy her Auntie a new microwave! It was cleaned 10 times with everything imaginable. It was the nastiness thing I ever ever smelt in my life!

Same here but with 1 close mishap. I had heated water in a microwave safe measuring cup the same way for years. One time it super heated and when I touched it, the water exploded out of the top. I was fast enough to avoid a severe burn, but some have not been so lucky. Strange thing was that it wasn’t bubbling or boiling.

Firstly, never microwave plastic. Secondly, microwaving eggs in a mug or bowl isn't cleanup free. The egg clings desperately to the mug, so you wind up soaking and hand washing the mug after. Having said that, I do microwave my scrambled eggs in a mug because it's quick and easy to make. And you can add things like cheese and peppers. One thing I always microwave is potatoes (remember to stab them thoroughly all over to create ventilation holes). Takes 5 minutes whereas the oven method can take 45 minutes or longer (although I like oven flavor much better).
@spiet73803 жыл бұрын
Things like potatoes that taste better in the oven ill start in the microwave until the oven is preheated.. I find it cuts the time in half and still gets the best flavor

My general rule of thumb is when it comes to food and bread, is always use very low power. My perfect method for softening up stale bagel is, first soak the inside of a big glass bowl. Flip the bowl upside down on top of one bagel and then cook for 3 minutes at power level 2.

1. Why the heck would you ever microwave kale? Or even eat it... 2. Bread doesn't need that long to be warmed. A few seconds will do it or longer if it's frozen, without hardening it 3. You should never microwave protein except on low. Heating protein quickly makes it carcinogenic. 4. Same as above. I recommend not reheating if already cooked, or use a George Foreman grill. 5. Have more than 2 brain cells. Social media is not a reliable source of information. Just because a bunch of people did it does not make it work

Easy. Purchase a tiny crock pot (such as 1 quart) from thrift store. Pour loose corn one or two layers deep in bottom. Pour some oil in bottom. Swirl it around until loose corn is level. Put a couple of paper plates on top. Cook at full power between 4 and 5 minutes. Then let the corn pop for just 2 minutes. Use that crock pot for just popping corn.

Who would put whole eggs in the microwave, turn it on, and watch them explode one by one until the whole thing exploded like a bomb. My father bought a Sharp Carousel 1100 watt microwave and I was reading through the instruction manual. It said under the Don'ts to never cook whole eggs in the microwave. It said to puncture the yolks to prevent "explosion" When I saw that segment of the guys putting the eggs in the microwave and watching them explode it grossed me out but pissed me off at the same time. Microwave ovens are not toys to play with! One time I reheated a sausage in the microwave and I left to my room. My father said "You better take that thing out of there" and I was like "Oh shoot!!" I ran to the microwave and tuned it off. I took it out and it was sizzling. Luckily it didn't explode. When the lady put the eggs in the microwave and heard the explosions she was upset that they all exploded and she had to clean up all the yolks and the mess it made.

I thaw my meats and fish by placing in a plastic store bag and let it set in a bowl cool water, and in an hour its ready. Is that ok? I love my micro wheat bread melt. I just take a palm full of my shredded cheese between my 100% wheat bread and micro for no more than 20 to 30 or until you see the cheese melt, I flip it over quickly upon taking it out the micro and it stays soft and gooey until the last bite. I like the scramble egg hack but a cooked egg, only takes a one or two minute, make the time. It's you health.
