Do you do any of these 5 things at the poker table? Also, here are the 9 bad poker strategies you will never see winning poker players use: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g4TSemeIrtBjpM0

Regarding the last advice, it's definitely good for most people. Yesterday, I was down 100 big blinds, decided to buy in for 100 more. In the end, I ended up winning 25 BB overall. The big thing to realize here is knowing who you play against and if there are realistic ways you can actually make a come back. At the table I play at, I know there is always a good chance I'll make good money, since the players are not very good. Also, the most important thing is that I almost always never tilt. I don't play worse poker based on my psych at the moment. I lost 2 coinflip almost in a row to lose those 100BB and I just sat out for 5 minutes, came back in with a clear head and managed to finally make my strat work and end up winning overall. Generally, when I see I have a losing day, I just quit before losing more, but this time, I decided to continue and ended up winning.

I feel like #3 and #1 contradict one another. The only way to get better at something is to put yourself into those situations and learn from them. If you are someone who reviews their sessions. Reviewing your bad sessions, and learning what you were doing wrong is probably the best thing you are going to get from it.

Laying down good hands was the hardest thing for me to learn to do. I always say now, a pair of Aces is the same as any 2 nothing cards against anything other another pair.

Quitting on "Hell Days" is something I never had a problem doing. I know when I'm pissed or super negative I'm Terrible. I actually learned that before I got into Poker.

Definitely, if you cannot play your "A" game you don't need to be at the table. Sometimes it will not be your day. I always try to get up and go with this happens. This also relates to bankroll management. If you have a strong bankroll you will be able to sustain yourself after a few losses. There will definitely be days like this.

Ah.. I don't generally know the type of player I am up against. The trackers don't work where I play and I play the boost/zoom format so.. I'm up against more or less anonymous players although I recognize some regulars who are usually quite tight. I've been doing ok lately but I have yet to establish an approach which produces consistent results. I wish there was more advice about zoom/boost games. Once you start playing those kinds of games there's no way you go back to the slow motion regular play. No way. ..

Once they run you over once they are going to try to do it every time too. If you can't make the calls you need to change tables immediately.

Had one of those ‘hell days’ yesterday. First hand of first tournament I squeezed JJ on the button. Lone caller flopped a straight with 10,9o and stacked off against my set. Much better to quit early and study than to go on tilt when your session starts like that.

I think the main thing I get from all of this advice is that you must identify what kind of players you are up against. These strategies are very poignant but you also must be able to understand your opponents' playing style. Studying the game is very crucial. Ego has absolutely no place in poker and it can get you crushed.

I really don't understand why aggression is considered a good strategy. I see these players winning some blinds here and there and then getting fully stacked by NITs. When I play tight I win significantly more. I limp all the time and fold lots of good hands and just wait for someone to hang themselves. I'm on the best run of my life and rarely have a bad session. You're saying to bet with literally nothing in your hand even though fish will always call you down with top pair or even worse on a flop.
@ultravillain Жыл бұрын
Before i hang myself i will won many middle sized pots so losing will not affect me at all. and in the next hand you might think that i am hanging myself but I would have the absolute nuts and i will stack you... After being Tight aggressive (16-20 VPP) for long time i started playing Loose Aggressive (Around 28 VPP) and the results are crazy Loose Aggressive 💪 but you need courage to play LAG
@Classicv5 Жыл бұрын
@@ultravillain By definition though the LAG/TAG is less likely to have the nuts vs a NIT showing action. I play 10 player tables with 100 BB buy ins so bluffing with air or minimal equity is a great way to lose all of your money. I can see that working better with smaller table sizes or heads up
@Fatpigkenny Жыл бұрын
Think about how many times you have a good hand - when you don’t have a hand you get picked off. When you do, good players will fold. Statistically in the long run you loose because you are always giving up EV
@Classicv5 Жыл бұрын
@@Fatpigkenny They don't fold though because I rarely lead. If everyone knows I'm a NIT I'll even limp the preflop with strong hands like AA. If someone gets confident I'll usually end up stacking them with a big check raise towards the end. I know it's a lame strategy but it's put me on the biggest win streak I've ever been on

Jus now has pocket Queens did a 4× raise pre flop and one guy calls....then the flop comes A,3,4....I check like an idiot he throws a big bet and I fold.....he shoes pocket 66.....🤦♂️. Anytime there's a Ace on a flop when I got KK, QQ, JJ I jus assume they got the Ace. I've been right few times and wrong a few times....
