Last time i go, i break a bit strong and karts slice a bit but for get the corner it wasnt drifting, i dont know if is as efficent??
@kartingtips2 жыл бұрын
@@franurbaneja2954 Normally, the harder you brake, the more the rear tyres will lock up which causes the kart to become unstable. Keep practicing to find the limit of hard braking.

I did my first go karting session which was a fastest lap time race and although I came last, my average lap times put me in 2nd. I watched this video now and realised that I already knew how to do most of these things after watching a lot of F1. However, the people who got fastest lap times were actually drifting In each corner and tapping every barrier coming out of it, and they were crashing the most. So my question is: Does technique matter differ from different tracks and karts?

Here's a tip for learning a track - if you have a gaming PC, get yourself a moddable racing game like Assetto Corsa and just check to see if someone in the community has created a model of the track - that way you can actually drive that track before you arrive. You can sometimes even find out the make and model of the kart that the track use and find a mod for that too. If you can get a force-feedback steering wheel, even better - then drive with all the driver assists switched off. It's never 100% accurate, but it's as near as you can get .

@@kartingtips It went well. Although some really didn't know the rules about not cutting people off and letting faster ones pass I managed to snag first place. It was by a few milliseconds but I did it! Thanks man, the video was really helpful :)

I love this channel, discovered it just yesterday and I really like your style of teaching kart driving. I do have a question though: I have an indoor e kart track around the corner. E karts feel completely different to fuel karts. I already did some "races" on this track and I want to improve. Do you have any tips regarding e karts?

Nice video dude ! Thanks for this one. I have some question about go kart if you are OK with ? 1) Différence with go kart and 2 stroke : the go kart have not power. Then, the most important is to keep momentum or get accélération early ? I know that with a powerfull engine, we want to gain Time on the straight and with this goal in mind, we want to take gaz earlier. But with go kart i don't know whats is the best : Momentum or accélération ? 2) pretty same question : go kart is without power. Is it the best Way to keep the engine go kart efficient is to keep a little bit of gaz ? Top keep the rpm high. 3) on a corner entry, a little slip to put the kart quicker in the curb IS a good idea ? Thanks in advence if you response to me. An thanks a lot for your video. PS: sorry for my broken english 😅

I have a question about the switch back so I am a sorta experienced driver I’ve been driving Go kart‘s for about a year now and whenever someone that is relatively the same speed as me in there on the left and I’m on the right side of them and there’s a right hand hairpin I cut it extremely tight what should you do there

isnt trail braking better than slow in fast out? that way you retain the most amount of energy
@Absismad Жыл бұрын
yes but you need to break before the corner and release the brake slowly through the corner
@stormer24 Жыл бұрын
@@Absismad that's literally trail breaking, but the video described it as slow in fast out, at least that's how I understood it
