Great tips. It's great that you state up front that no one can "wing it" successfully. It's crucial that any presenter takes the time to prepare and practise their material.

Thanks Anton, Great tips for people new to Public Speaking. Don't forget to smile as you deliver and keep a clear head. You have a number of things on your mind throughout this and it makes some of your sentences incomplete. Your videos are well presented, and traffic to your uploads should be how we show appreciation for your efforts. Keep up the great work.

@mebwire It really comes down to what do you want to accomplish. If the slides are for TEACHING and not PRESENTING - then yes, more info. If you are going to be presenting - the slides should only support - not overwelm as they often do. This is why I emphasize less words, more emphasis on you the presenter forming a connection with the audience.

As always great tips. Your interview story reminded me of mine. Several years ago I was being interviewed by a Lt. and Sgt. for a detective position. During the course of the interview I was asked an off the wall question about a news article. I looked the Lt in the eye, smiled and said" I would like to buy a vowel, I have no idea". We all laughed and moved on to the next question. I eventually did get the position. Thanks for sharing.

This helps me a lot! I'm super nervous because my presentation has to be at least 5-10 minutes. It's been a long time since I've done an oral presentation. So that makes my worry the most. I might talk a bit too fast and go lower than 5 minutes, but at least I practiced and said all of my information to my classmates. :)
