It's crazy to me that no matter how many times it's proven that ships disappear as much or less than other areas of water, people still hold on to the Bermuda triangle myth. The ocean makes up most of our planet and if something gets lost it's extremely hard to find due to all the currents. Planes and boats literally travel through there all the time without issues. The area also is primed for storms forming very quickly.

If you want a more expanded cinematographic interpretation of the 5th story, watch the 1988 horror movie "The serpent and The rainbow", based on a book written by prof. Wade Davis himself. of his experience with the zombification research. So, here are my two cents about Voodoo: In Haiti and some areas od USA with Caribbean immigrants such as Louissiana Voodoo is both tradition and heritage, they're not like the Hollywood satanists that are portrayed in horror movies, Voodo has its protective side too. In the Caribbean and specially Haiti, there's religious syncretism between Catholicism and Voodoo so even though for some christians the Loas and spirits prevalent in Voodoo can be hastily classified as demons, from their side of the story it's very, very different.

Nah thanks. I prefer true stories, not made-up "paranormal" nonsense.
@briandouglasahern70673 жыл бұрын
@@rogthepirate4593 I understand your point of view. But some of those stories are more like "I have no idea what exactly happened, but this is what I experienced" tales. Not always meant to indicate the paranormal so much as an unnerving situation. The best of both worlds, perhaps.
@rogthepirate45933 жыл бұрын
@@briandouglasahern7067 Fair point. I did have one or two of those in my time. But I guess I simply think that there's always a rational explanation for it, even if I may not be privy to it. Many of those "ghost" stories on the other hand are so on-the-nose "it was a ghostie guys, I swear!!!!11" that I simply can't take them the least bit seriously.... I guess they just ruin any suspension of disbelief I might have had.

Story #2 is Tragic! I have family that went through difficult times in Cuba. They were thrown in jail, slave labor, starve you and when you were a about to die, they would take you home. Your family would bring all their minuscule resources together (basically, they would starve so you could recover), feed you, clothe you, etc. As soon as the "Chivatos" (Snitch) would see that you were well enough to walk around. They would come back and throw you back in jail and the cycle would start all over again until they felt you had served your time. And then, what would go on in jail was a whole other tragedy.
