What I like most about these stories from viewers is that it reminds everyone that we all go through good times and bad times in life. We share that common bond. No matter how bad things get, we have to know that they will pass and should count the blessings and good things that we do have in life.

Wow I was absolutely shocked when my mate who was a few years older than me and had been all around the world, he took me to Papong in Bangkok it was just crazy I come from Dublin and it was a small city then well I never seen anything like this place been Irish I love the Craic ( good time ) I was dancing on the bar with the girls it was crazy it was so much fun. I fell in love with Thailand been back countless times I could tell you many stories of my trips when I was nearly 38 year old living in Australia I met and marry a Thai lady over 26 years married now. I’ve be stuck here in Dublin for 2 years now looking after my sick sister and my Thai wife still in Brisbane, but I am arriving in Phuket Sandbox next hopefully for a 3 month stay and meeting up with the wife in the middle of December can’t wait to see her again and also get back to Thailand I just love it, away from the cold wet winters of Ireland. No tears? So much of what you are reading brings me to tears my dude..it hits home so hard. Variances here and there of course. But after 6 months and 1 month here now back home in the states, finally I have someone to look forward to. I think of nothing more than being with her. Excuse me as I comment as you speak but she is not controlling, she is submissive. I’m very sure it started as what I could do for her while what she could do for me. But it has grown into so much more. As the gentleman says stories and such make it hard to believe at face value. As the second story, and excuse me again for commenting as you speak, as a man from a gloomy city in the US from a family that travels; this is not my first rodeo when it comes to travel. Now that I pay more attention the TEFL story is 2nd. Anyhow just thanks dude. For reading these stories to inform us all. I managed to get my Japanese friend a permanent stay UK visa years ago because she is super special to me and I care about her so deeply i'm glad I could do it just before they made it impossible. It just infuriates me that an English man needs to earn almost £20K to bring the person he loves into the country when if you're Indian or African you can invite you're extented family and get them all housed and paid benefits etc. A person's life partner is important to his mental and physical health and to deny him such a right is beyond cruel in my opinion.

Another great Vlog Peter, it took me a few trips to get my head around the Thai female psyche, in fact learning the general newbe pitfalls as well. But after 22+ trips i'd have to say it gets easier, in fact, I use it for humor and pretend it is my 1st trip, I even wear the (now) embarrassing Pattaya tourist T-Shirts to add and make my stories to the bar girls more convincing about it being my 1st trip and see what they try to get away with, I always tell them at the end that I was just pulling their chain and get a few laughs from them. Yes, I will look at the sad story from last week, I haven't seen it and don't know how I missed it.

@lostinaustralia-dave78023 жыл бұрын
@@marcp108 Yes mate, it is always a bit of fun, but not letting them know that you speak Thai would be hilarious. Obviously speaking Thai would be a benefit for sure, but when bar girls know that you speak Thai it sort of takes away their armor and some don't like it, but definitely good from your perspective so as you said, it is better not to tell them, well not until you check bin anyway 555 then see the red faces of people that made comments about you. My friend owned a beer bar that I used to drink in walked past a guesthouse on the 6 that I was staying at and as soon as he waved at me the girls said his name and something in Thai which I didn't understand. I later asked what they said and the girl I was sitting with spoke good English and said, 'We call him Willie bald head' which made me piss my pants, as it was not intended as an insult, merely stating a fact. Gotta love Thai girls.

Lol! First story..I lived on soi Nanai 2 for 4 months! Down the road from Don’s bar and the family mart. I met this dude on a border run to Satun who lived on Nanai who was an older gentleman in his 70s who had Nintendo tattoos who told me stories of his girlfriend and also lady boyfriend. As an avid video game player in my 40s I had to strike up a conversation. It was a nice trip to the border. But I also am looking into the TEFL program as this story also involves. I have a better relationship in my opinion with a woman from Chiang Rai who came to Phuket after the C not long before I arrived. She is a diamond in the rough I believe. I am aware of the odds given your and Trevor’s insight. I believe her and in her and no matter what we are happy together. In the time since I arrived in Thailand I am quite sure I would be the one who should be held to the carpet on the things I have done when it comes to aerobics… 😊 she is not that type of person but hey you never know right? When i heard that story about nann ,i was soo sad it like a family member or my dog died.it was that sad.And i think the reason it was soo sad is because we hear soo many negative stories about Thailand women that when a guy meets a good one we want it to last forever. And nann died only 8months into the relationship. She and yhe relationship died too soon.its like shooting down a bird just as it starts flying. Peter, You are right, it is the exception that a Thai lady will scam a foreigner, but there are some rogues out there. I met one through an ex Thai girlfriend back in 2017. She was a freelancer and then worked at Agogo in LK Metro. She not only scammed a young French guy of BHT1.2 million, by pretending she was madly in love with him, unfortunately he passed 12 months later with cancer and left a young child behind, but also stole from her clients and my ex had to bail out from the jailhouse on a few occasions. She also ripped off some of her Thai girlfriends by leaving shared accommodation without paying her rent and chalking up tabs at some bars and then doing a runner. It is amazing she is still in Pattaya. So there are some bad Thai girls who will scam anyone and do not discriminate based on nationality, but they are the exceptions rather than the rule. I have never personally been ripped off in Thailand but still have my wits about me when meeting new people. As your subscriber mentioned " If it is too good to be true, it is too good' and should go with the gut and refuse the offer.
@lannys86603 жыл бұрын
His dying and leaving a child is so sad, but the rest of this story is hilarious. Love to see these women who are abused their entire teen and adult lives by white men finally getting to turn the tables. Do you not know the reasons people in SE Asia might distrust white men and see them as fair game? You all support the system that exploits them. And the West has ravaged that part of the world for decades. Good for these girls to get what they can from you all and move on. 👏🙏

The second story interesting but the guy at just age 32 still has a whole lot of living to do. Story 5 takes me back (1967 ! ) because I did the train trip from Bangkok to Chiangmai. I thought it was so great to stand in the open "balcony" of the rear carriage watching the Thai countryside. I travelled up 1st class & shared my cabin with a Thai Air Force wing commander, but overspent in Chiengmai so had to return in lower 3rd Class ( chickens etc) - all the way to Singapore 2 days later !

Hope you have your health insurance(s) up to date! It might be interesting if you can get some stories from digital nomads, & how they have fared these past 2 troubled years. Thailand is apparently one of the most popular locations for these people.
