I finally got my first vhs-c camcorder a few weeks ago. Pretty much been waiting to get my hands on one my entire life and I couldn't be happier. My life is now complete since I also finally got a vcr and a bunch of tapes to watch and record on :)

I own a PV-L657D which looks very similar to the PV-L557D, except with a couple more features including EIS. Great video!

Found our pvl659, was hoping it had video output so I could convert our tapes to digital but I don't think it does unfortunately. Will probably have to look at buying a VCR and converter.

What if nothing shows up through the viewfinder? Batter works when I connect it and when I place the battery pack on.

Could anyone help me? The A/V out, on my Panasonic PV- L657, is round, but the cords provided in the camera case are flat, like a phone charger's end. They've provided two cords, one for connecting to a television and the other to a computer. However, where can I get an adapter to connect to the flat end, to plug it into the camera's round port?

Im unsure. id have to look it over and figure it out. ive not used these since this video. They're put away currently, and id have to find where they're at.

In general, do these things break a lot. I see them untested and I only need it for a transfer anyway.

Idk about that but these days I'm sure belts need replacing. Bad belts can cause the mech to not fully wind up a tape or can result in very poor playback with the audio sounding very fluttered.

so do palm cams require cassette tapes like vhs recorders or are they jus like phones where they records without any tapes? I’ve been looking to buy one and I’m trying not to waste money on something won’t work. Lol help?

They use tapes (VHS-C) and a adapter is needed to play it in a VCR.

Hi there, great video! Im curious if i bought an Pvl779, are the batteries interchangeable with the other camcorders if they look similar? or are there subtle differences that im missing?

I'm sure some are interchangeable. They usually have those round 3V Button cell batteries.

good afternoon, i have a panasonic pvl759. the viewfinder is in black and white. and the lcd screen is in color. now when i transfer it over to my laptop, will the recordings be in black and white or color?

If the recording is in color then it'll transfer in color.

I have a model # PV A 208 D with a cassette stuck in it. I don’t have a battery nor a charger. How can I get the cassette out?

By breaking into it. i don't think there's any other way. If you've got a changeable power supply that you can use clip leads with u can clip the ends on the terminals on where they'd meet with the batt and get power that way.
