Have fun, don't worry about the looks or perfection, and remember you don't need to be the best at art to draw or use it a sketchbook
@Sidgirl52 жыл бұрын
Something helpful for if you do struggle with perfectionism is to have 2 sketchbooks: 1 for anything art, no matter if it's "good" or not. 2 for those "good" drawings, for when you give it your all in a piece! (I mean't to just add to the og comment, sorry)

I'm going through that, art school really kills your creativity and imagination
@aylamiller57522 жыл бұрын
Yeah art school isn't exactly the best if you want to continue down a happy art path. I think it's more for people who want to learn art by the book to become critics/ sell classic art styles. Which doesn't fit everyone.
@sometimesitslonely2 жыл бұрын
@@aylamiller5752 yes, that's why I'm confused whether should I continue art school or not, problem is there are too assignments assigned which is not very enjoyable because we are supposed to make it perfect. We are constantly compared and everyday is new things and can't really complete and understand the previous ones. What really is everyday is new and random which doesn't link and can be easily forgotten. Teachers are in constant hurry and doesn't give time to even understand and constantly change what we create telling 'this is not how you must do'
@zoeannejulia19982 жыл бұрын
@@sometimesitslonely I get that it’s hard, it’s important for young people to start nurturing to their own needs, instead of someone elses, they need to find their own voice instead of listening to someone elses. And constantly hearing negative feedback, puts you in a negative mood. But don’t get discouraged, It’s been a year for me since my last comment, and in that year, I got a contract with a publisher, started my own company where I sell my art, and I have many people who want to work together! It will all work out for you if you keep working hard for it! And embrace your uniqueness!

Another tip i have is to draw referenced to a movie, series, anime etc. character or scenario. It is very nice if you love that specific character or just to experiment with different styles

Aah my mom found my super depressed, suicidal drawings (literally me wanting to end it all put together in drawings) a few weeks ago, she came in the living room with my sketchbook like:" What the heck is this???" And interviewed the fuck out of me. The feels are not to describe, it sucked so mf much :0
