@Queen_of_Catastrophe4 жыл бұрын
I feel you, anime is motivation but, the amount of effort that you have to put into learning Japanese is so challenging, is like getting a bachelor's degree but, instead of actually using it to get a job, you only hang it to decorate your wall, the decoration is good but, is so time consuming that is actually very hard to think of using it only like that. I also got interested learning it because of games and anime at first, I can watch anime only hearing but, is actually harder to find anime without subtitles and, you really don't get much out if you do learn Japanese only for the purpose of watching anime, you start to see the scenes very static except for some lip movement here and there, starts to feel somewhat cheap or even lifeless, if you are watching while reading subs, it kind of feel more dynamic. I've teached Japanese and, there were some people interested because of anime but, more often that you might think, they dropped learning it, and most of the time, they were pretty young, they didn't really put themselves into learning it, nor wanted to put in the will to overcome quite difficult challenges, and is kind of sad to see they drop it and only few keep going. That also happened with a lot of my classmates when I was studying it, at the end we were like 5 and sometimes 6 or 7.

I am currently studying japanology in the university and we need to learn tons of vocabulars, kanjis and grammar patterns. So what I found great for studying kanji is pretty simple. I write on cards on the front side the kani and one on and kun reading. On the back i write the radical and the stroke order. Then I use the methodes active recalling and space repetition. The same goes for the words and so on. I hope u spend great time with this language

I'm not good at Japanese yet but whatever little I've learnt is by watching *Sakura Gakuin LoGiRL Manande Monday* and *Ganbare FRESH Monday.* I would listen to a Japanese word and type it in Romaji in Google Translate to get the English translation. So I know plenty of words but I don't know how to structure a sentence, let alone communicate in Japanese. I've downloaded an app to learn Japanese but I haven't opened it in forever. I do want to learn the language though. One thing I'd like to say though is that it's best not to learn Japanese from anime. The Japanese anime characters use is different from real world, spoken Japanese.
