YES!!! And our priest says the St. Michael the Archangel prayer after every Mass, silently during the weekend, and aloud during the weekdays.

I would add that kneeling at an altar rail and receiving on the tongue would also be best.

Yes, but we cannot judge those who do not kneel or receive by their tongue. The more we receive Jesus the more merciful we are to others, and the more we truly love our brothers and sisters. If we leave receiving Holy Communion with any kind of judgment in our hearts, we have missed receiving him well.

Receiving communion is meeting the lord....now what is really going on...two people meeting up.friends and how do I look forward to such a meeting. A lot will depend on the strength of the friendship,how well I know feel comfortable in my friends company...I could go on...but I just sit and look listen and enjoy my friends company..knowing I am Accepted as I am right now...

I am a Eucharistic Minister and I get to kneel and thank my Lord at the end of the Holy Communion of the congregation. Does this count or it’s more effective to thank my Lord right after receiving the Holy Communion from the priest? It’s usually few seconds and then I am given the Hosts or the sacred wine to distribute to the parishioners. Then I go back to the pew kneel and pray.
